Summary

This audiobook offers you out-of-the-box concepts with money. Money Isn't the Problem, You Are is written for people who live in a constant state of difficulty around money, whether it's spending too much, not having enough, or having too much. In Money Isn't the Problem, You Are, Gary Douglas and Dain Heer share processes, tools, and points of view that you can use to change the way money flows into your life.

Gary and Dain have worked with lots of people regarding money issues. Through innovative tools, Douglas and Heer have helped those who had $10 in their pocket and people who had 10 million. The interesting thing is they all have the same issue, and it has nothing to do with money. It has to do with what they are unwilling to receive. What you are unwilling to receive creates the limitation of what you can have. Change that, and money isn't an issue anymore!

Learning to receive is the greatest thing you can do. Money Isn't the Problem, You Are is based on the very popular Access Money seminar, which has been taught in cities throughout the US, Costa Rica, Australia, and New Zealand.

"It's not about money. It never is. It's about what you're willing to receive. The universe is endlessly abundant. Learn to make different choices with the empowering tools in this book. You can create a different reality." - Gary Douglas, founder of Access Consciousness

Some good points, let down by ridiculous claims

Started okay but couldn't finish it. Makes ridiculous and un-credible claims. Lost interest and had to return.

Simple yet practical and fun

This is my 3rd time of reading. Each time I discover more gems. I love the simplicity of the tools in this book. I’ve found that when I’m willing to give them a go, magic happens!

Wish the reader flowed more

Would you try another book from Gary M. Douglas and Dain Heer and/or Connor Hill?

I have bought another book by Dain Heer, read by Dain Heer and it's been a lot easier for me to listen to multiple times.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Having done a lot of personal development work prior to listening to this book, a lot of the concepts about Money were not necessarily "new" to me so I was able to get "on-board" with a number of the ideas and tools presented pretty easily.

How could the performance have been better?

At first listen, I thought this reader was OK, and could use a little improvement, and was surprised that the finished product went out as it did without having been re-recorded and fixed the flow. It was difficult to listen to the first time, and I notice more and more jarring points with each listen. This book is about 2.5 hours and good content, so it is something that is easy and desirable to listen to over and over again. Though this reader makes it more and more difficult with each additional listen for me.

Was Money Isn't the Problem, You Are worth the listening time?

The listening time is short, and I like the content. I have listened to it several times.

Any additional comments?

This was the first Access Consciousness audio book I listened to, and I'm glad I didn't let this particular narrator prevent me from getting another book, "Being You, Changing the World" by Dain Heer, which was actually read by the author.

2.5 hr infomercial for their classes

The bare bones, once you dust off all the fluff and take away the strange ways they go from point A to point B, is plain old common sense, rationality, and sensibility. The fuzzy morality is concerning and the blasé attitude is reminiscent of the law of attraction. Understand the value of your money, don't be wasteful because society says you must have the biggest and most expensive to show your success. Believe in yourself. Change to a more positive perspective (look for the good). Strive, always, to be or do better than yesterday. Don't dwell on what you can't change, use it as a lesson to not make the mistake again. Never believe you have a limit, there's always a way to do better.

Terrible

The content: more "ask the universe" nonsense burying one or two interesting (but ultimately weak) cognitive tricks. The performance is awful. You are not getting a voice actor, you're getting a reader, obviously reading and doing a marginal job at that. Think competent 10th grader. The authors make a lot of noise about "not worrying about money". I can't decide if they didn't take their own advice (by going with this reader) or if they're so bought-in they actually don't care whether the audiobook makes money. Either way, a terrible experience. One of my few Audible returns.

Awakeningly Awesome

I said it with two words. Fifteen words are not required in order to review a book.

Powerful book!

I totally recommend this book! It has powerful insights. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I don’t align with some of the language or perspectives. He says you “need to” and “have to” a lot. For me this is a “get to”. He also talked about how some people are just mean and they like being mean. I don’t buy that story completely. I believe that most people have childhood trauma that creates a reactive way of being not actually aligned with who they really are. Still his guidance on how to deal with those people seems effective.

What is up with Connor Hill?!

This narration is the worst I've ever heard. Ever. What on earth happened here? His voice is fine. I'm sure he's a nice man. But, gosh, his reading made this otherwise wonderful book a chore to listen to. He mispronounces normal words, there is NO editing. At one point I hear traffic in the background. It's like he was doing something else while he was reading but could care less. Okay, enough of that. This short book had so many tips on how to deal with money and life in general. I really enjoyed it. I didn't know who Dain Heer and Gary Douglas were. Just great tips. Thank you both for the book. Maybe someone else could narrate? I'd buy it.

thankful it was read by Connor

I went into this book thinking man, I wish it was read by Gary, then thought how much better can this get. what I realized was if it was Gary I would have not received it the way I was able to. I do wish audible allowed a visual version as this book has phenomenal resources within it that I would love to see visually. Please read this and take note while you read.

Awesome Read!

Enjoyed this book, the narrator has a voice easy to listen to. The information Gary shares is very true, I have had my challenges too in life and intuitively used thought and perception to create resolutions and experiences. Consciousness will certainly expand what you my already know. I absolutely enjoyed this book and others by Dain Heer and Gary Douglas.
