Basic and predictable
Basic and predictable story.
The author has a limited descriptive vocabulary. Main character is annoyingly arrogant.

Just a bad example of the genre
look it isnt terrible, it's just lacking. Lacking depth, story and overall sense. the mc makes no sense get a strange sense of loyalty over nothing and starts giving everyone weapons for no reason. overll disappointing addition to the genre.

Average at best.
There are some good bits in the book, and I may check out book two, as often things that are wrong with book one are fixed in second books of a series. For example, I found the MC pretty annoying. He is quite egotistical, arrogant and sleazy while thinking he is suave and charming. For example he feels like berating a couple of guards for checking out the girl he is with while spending most of his time leering at her various body parts himself, even telling how he ass is so tight he could bounce a quarter off it. This is the same day he meets her by the way.
I think was really got me though was he gets the chance to go to a world of magic and fantasy, and as soon as he gets there he starts producing earth weapons. Not to mention swearing to a king he has never met, a kingdom he has no idea of it's intentions, a mage he doesn't like or trust and plans to give those same weapons to them too. All this is before he even thinks it might be really needed for hem to have them too. I really wish he would live long enough to see the millions he will get killed because of his actions.
The magic system it dull with nothing new about it, and would likely be made utterly pointless by his introduction of firearms to a world where mages are not exactly numerous. I'd have been fine with it if he kept the secret to himself or a tight group, but as it is he will make a fantasy world of swords and magic empty.
As I said there are good points, but the down sides to it made it a 2.5 out of 5 book when compared to other fantasy fiction or litrpg books.

Best series there is.
This series needs more love. It has become my all time favorite, there is so much to tell but I just don't have the words to describe it all with a few words.
The series got a good story, wonderful characters, true love and friendship.
I rarely relisten books but hell Ive relisten this entire series 3 times now, and it wont be my last time.
