im really enjoying how all the threads are coming together. i did have a minor moment when Mason was designing his new weapon where i thought "did everyone forget about the rifles?!" but they got a mention.

the comment about the 1911 being able to hit targets at 300 yards felt... weird. but then they are rune powered soooo? but it still felt weird.

story wise it keeps escalating and its fantastic. only a couple of quibbles (like the pistol stuff) - namely how Mason gets dumb in certain situations - but its consistent!

oh and the word "smirk" is.... its used a Lot. it gets a tiny bit distracting.

beyond that - great story!

This series is love. It has become my all time favorite. The series got a good story, wonderful characters, true love and friendship. And it just gets better and better for every book.
