A British journalist is invited to Malmö to interview an old university friend who is now one of Sweden's leading film directors. When he discovers the director's glamorous film-star wife dead in her apartment, the Skåne County Police are called in to solve the high-profile case.

Among the investigating team is Inspector Anita Sundström, who soon finds the list of suspects growing. As Anita battles to discover the answers amid the antagonism of some of her colleagues, she even begins to think that the person she is becoming attracted to could be the murderer.

I have to say that this was one of the worse books I have listened to on Audible. The accents were truly dreadful.

the storyline was interesting. Unfortunately the narration- specifically the accents let it down and I didn’t enjoy listening to it.

Good story but the narrator should not try to do accents as a Glaswegian her attempts sounds more like bad Geordie

awful narration

The accents were abysmal. The narration worse again Affected plummy English accent with a confusion of American pronounciations where years is pronounced yahs and enquiry ... INquiry rather than EnQUIry. Even played at speed which often helps with weak narrators , they're was no redeeming this. The put-on foreign accents were cringeworthy.
i debated buying the book on kindle and reading it but the story line spluttered along and by the time the last line came.. it was a relief.
It would have been a great short story but maybe the narrator just ruined the whole thing and it might have been ok to read.
i almost never leave a poor review but i felt it my duty to save people from this trauma.

Dreadful narration. Poor plot

Narration spoilt what may have been a good story. Simply could not concentrate as attempts at accents were very bad.
