Loved every second of listening I’m so happy Jesse and Austin are together completely now . I noticed a little spark between Ulric and Niamh maybe he can soften her stole cold heart 😂 Jesse kicks ass and when her and the gang go to Elliot Graves she’s not expecting what she finds at the end. I can’t wait for book 6 this is my drop all other audiobooks to listen to series and I hope we get many more.

I love this series and K. F. Breene's writing style. Her stories tick every box for me. An intelligent writing style that's easy to read. Check. Protagonists with depth and credibility, personality traits that draw me in. Check. Great wealth of characters in the supporting cast. Check. Believable background story and setting with a plot that has a balanced mix of relationship, tension, action, humour and mystery. Check, check and check.

Magical Midlife Meeting is a fantastic audiobook.

As a menopausal woman with the big 5-0 looming on the horizon, I love that this series has an older protagonist and supporting characters. Jess is a woman who's comfortable in her own skin and has the confidence of life experience behind her. However, I love how she's growing into the world's most powerful mage. The way Jess treats people hasn't changed and her love for her Ivy House family is beautiful. However, my favourite aspect of this story was how her relationship with Austin evolved. Wow! Heart-melting AND panty-drenching in equal measures.

Hollie Jackson is one of the best narrators I've come across. Her performance while reading this book brought the story to life. I liked the pace at which she read and the emotions she conveyed. There are some very unique characters in this book (series), and the voices she created for them all were impressive. Their personality shone through. Edgar, Mr Tom and Neve are wonderful examples of her talent. Hollie transported me into each and every scene and I really enjoyed her performance.

Magical Midlife Meeting builds on the previous books. The threads running through the series and the ones that began and ended in this one were enthralling. I loved listening to Jess fight her way through the pompous world of mages. I rallied, laughed, cried and swooned along with her.

Due to the graphic nature of the fights and sex scenes, I'd recommend this book to adults who are OK with this sort of thing. But if you enjoy coming-of-age stories for older, independent, capable heroines and strong alpha heroes, with a generous helping of banter, humour and realistic issues for the over 40s within a paranormal adventure, then this book may be your next favourite read.
