the series is off to a great start. the characters are interesting and well written and the story is fun to listen to.

it was a great start but horrible ending... All the building learning and such was nice to listen to but when the big climax hit and lasted for 5 minutes and then it was just all shrugged off. It makes me wonder if there are any actually interesting and challenging battles ahead or if its all just overpowered protagonist waving his hand to swoosh off the enemies... We'll see....

Fun story about a mage who receives the summoner class, a very rare class which everyone is fearful off due to the history of previous summoners going berserk.

The book has a good cast and an interesting world. Will be giving the second book a listen.

I found this book very hard going. The constant save player updates were not needed in my view. At least less often would have worked. It made the story much longer than it needed to be. I did manage to finish it before I lost patience but only just. Sadly the story itself was lost under the gaming format. This book was not for me.
