About this listen

It's hard enough being an undergraduate student, an intern at Downtown Manhattan's police station, and a bouncer at a local bar. Add her now ex-boyfriend who recently dumped her for the school's resident bimbo - oh, and she's a werewolf.

Mackenzie Grey meets her match when she is kidnapped by the Brooklyn Pack and tossed between Sebastian and Jonah - the Alpha and the Beta. Being a lone-wolf in the city is dangerous, and now that the Pack has found her, so can every supernatural being in the Tri-State area. And not even her sarcastic, smart mouth can get her out of this.

When a string of kidnappings involves Mackenzie in supernatural politics, she questions her new acquaintances and finds unlikely allies. Can she escape Pack law and keep her freedom - or will she be condemned to an unwanted path.

Contains mature themes.

I had a good time with this box set.
Book 3 was prob my favourite.
I prob should have been annoyed at the Scottish accents ( since I’m Scottish ) but I wasn’t and a lot of those parts made me laugh.

Entertaining

This book (I’m half way in) is awesome!
The narrator of the book is perfect, she can do male and female voices and really creates a great essence for the book!
I’m hooked!

The narrator is brilliant!

Series of interconnected stories following the life and struggles of MacKenzie Grey as she grows from a new lycan shifter, who was raised human, to discovering her true powers and purpose. The “Origins” box set contains the first four of twelve MacKenzie Grey titles (split into three series: Origins, Trials and The Crown). The stories are well written and gripping with a solid foundation in their fictional universe. Paranormal characters and worlds are believably written. The main characters have relatable characteristics and all have flaws to balance their personalities’ strengths.
Nicole Poole is a great narrator and reads the stories well and with emotion. I was a little put off by the Scottish accents in Alpha, the third book, although I think they improve by Omega, the fourth book.
Overall, I’d recommend this box set to anyone who enjoys paranormal fantasy stories that have strong female characters. Whilst these aren’t happily ever after romantisy stories, MacKenzie’s journey of self-discovery includes some great male characters and a fair bit of “will they/won’t they?”. If you want to know whether MacKenzie finds her perfect partner or decides to be a lone wolf, you’ll have to follow her adventures in these stories!

Feisty female shifter takes on the world!

I was worried this may be another story full of over the top sexual topic through out but I was pleasantly surprised there was minimal "smut" (no shade I like a bit just not a story built around it) there was actually a decent story line, I found it funny, frustrating and heartbreaking as times definitely worth it I got through all 4 in less then a week. I'm gonna check out the origins next!

Nice surprise
