About this listen

The Worldbranch Throne has been claimed, but the Lunar Empress now looms over EBO.

Her arrival heralds the start of a new era: a strange continent, powerful loot drops, and a catch-up event that drastically empowers those who have fallen behind the leveling curve.

How will Ned fare against an event intended to level the playing field? (Poorly).

How will Frank adapt to his new body? (Disturbingly).

How many more animals will House acquire? (Yes).

Wow once again a great book and an exceptional addition to the series and I am looking forward to listening to this again and again when I get the time.

The next book

great to be back in EBO, the last book seemed like it could have been the last. I would have liked more world building, exploration and building but this series has mainly become a chain of boss fights. I tried to give it a lower review score but my teeth started itching.

As my title says it’s an adventure that just doesn’t stop moving. Absolutely love the characters and the humour portrayed by a great narrator. Hoping the next book comes out quickly and don’t have to wait too long for the story to continue.

Yet another fast paced and fun adventure

A franking good time, no other words can describe the feel of gore on your glorious bearded axeface or the smell of the moons blood

Franktastic

I swear reading this felt like Frank personally grabbed me by the scruff and said, “Come on, idiot, we’re doing this,” before yeeting us both into the madness. The whole book has that same wild spark he gets whenever he discovers a new spell and immediately decides it’s now a group activity.

The humour hits exactly the way Frank’s worst ideas tend to, unexpected, slightly unhinged, and somehow perfect. And the pacing? Honestly, it’s so tight I’m pretty sure Frank would try to sell it as a weapon if he could. There were moments where I caught myself grinning because I could practically hear him doing that “don’t worry, this will probably be fine” laugh right before everything goes sideways.

By the time I reached the last few chapters, it genuinely felt like Frank was sitting on my shoulder, cheering on every twist like Kyle Kirrin had just crit something ridiculous in the kneecap. And if brilliance could punch you in the face, this book would absolutely roll a nat twenty doing it, and Frank would still find a way to take credit.

Honestly, I loved it. Five stars. Frank would want you to read this, and I’m not about to argue with him.
