Life-changing

This book is life-changing which makes it hard to put down. For me, this is one of the best nutrition guides as it relates to the heart and vascular system. This is not a diet book per se. No fluff and excess words to explain a simple subject. I like how each chapter starts off with a summary of what the chapter is about. I highly recommend this book to all individuals either healthy or looking to make a change to a healthier lifestyle.

A very helpful and useful guide

This book really eases my anxiety about my high cholesterol count and confirms that I do not want to take a statin to lower it. I am well-pleased to recommend this guide to anyone who wants to lower their cholesterol level. All information is supported by numerous references to studies supporting the material being presented. The fact that there are both good and bad components in both HDL and LDL was an eye-opener.

Glad to have this

Getting serious about heart health can be overwhelming. High cholesterol levels are poor predictors for a heart attack. If you are not aware of your cholesterol level you will not have better clarity in understanding what cholesterol truly is. After you listen to this guidebook, you will have the ability to take full charge of your health.

Excellent guide to follow

A must-listen for anyone on medication that doesn't actually need to be or is finding side effects too much to handle but not knowing what the alternative is. Just goes to show that you can treat anything naturally and its not always about taking pills. A very informative guide indeed.

Concise and to the point

Very well written. Easily digestible and good summaries. Definitely worth listening if you have questions about saturated fats and it's linked to cardiovascular disease. This book only proves that my grandparents - who lived in great health in their 90s - were right all along about fats.

Excellent info

My wife began to improve within two weeks of following the tips laid out here to lowering cholesterol. Quick, easy to listen to that explain medical concepts and jargon in easy to understand layman's terms. Erik Smith discusses the causes of high cholesterol, treatment without drugs, and foods to lower cholesterol. This is extremely helpful and informative. If you don't have a cholesterol issue the information in this book is worth the listen. You won't look at cholesterol or statins in the same way after listening to this book. By having this guide, you will learn what are the causes of inflammation and how to reduce it and thus your risk for many diseases including heart disease and diabetes. I can't say enough good things about these books. I couldn't put it down and now am using it a reference guide, going back to it over and over. I followed the advice in this book and lowered my cholesterol by 50 points! All of my cholesterol readings were in range.
