About this listen

Perfect for fans of Mistborn and A Game of Thrones, this dark fantasy about a magical engineer turned thief has listeners raving.

The Dragon King rules with an iron fist and one woman has vowed to be his demise.

After a bloody conquest, the world of Loom is now ruled by Dragons. They oversee those beneath them from their sky cities with magic and cruelty.

Arianna is known as the White Wraith; an unscrupulous thief who will do anything as long as it defies her Dragon oppressors. She's spent her life working in the shadows, harboring a secret that would have her killed. A secret that will bring the Dragon King to his knees.

Joined by a trigger-happy gun mage and a Dragon prince who seeks to assassinate his king, Arianna sets out on an epic journey. The unlikely trio is Loom's last hope for freedom. But, for Arianna, this mission is personal. This is her last shot at redemption . . . and vengeance.

I was hooked from the first few minutes. Then it just gets better and better.

Woman power

There is no other way to explain the frankly weird pronunciation of common English words. It was jarring. Other than that, it was a good (not great) story that jogged along at a good pace. The world building was confusing at times but you could get the gist without any deep understanding of the subject, which infers the author could have spent more time on rounding out the characters.

good story, terrible AI narration

The first books in the series are great and I really enjoyed them up until the ending. It was weirdly abrupt and did not match the pace of the rest of the storytelling at all. Suddenly everything was finished off in very quick way instead of the slower pace that the rest of the story had.

Great start, disappointing ending

I struggled to get into the story at first but by halfway through the first book I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I found the world very unique and interesting. If I was to describe it to someone I would say “Steampunk + vampire dragons” and just let people go from there.

Took me a while to get into but couldn’t get enough by the end!

would highly recommend this for anyone who loves to get lost in a well built fantasy world. The plot is solid all the way through, the voice performances are excellent. I actually have nothing negative to say except I was actually disappointed when I got to the end and I wanted more. The ending was perfectly good though!

just a great story
