About this listen
The first in the Jessica Daniel series, Locked In is the number one bestselling crime thriller from Kerry Wilkinson.
When a body is found in a locked house, Detective Sergeant Jessica Daniel is left to not only find the killer but discover how they got in and out.
With little in the way of leads and a journalist that seems to know more about the case than she does, Jessica is already feeling the pressure - and that's before a second body shows up in identical circumstances to the first.
How can a murderer get to victims in seemingly impossible situations and what, if anything, links the bodies?
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would, it had a good story, once you got the hang of the narrators voice. The story line was good, with some twists and turns but i did guess the ending before it finished.Would you recommend Locked In to your friends? Why or why not?
I would say this is a easy crime, quite predictable. What three words best describe Becky Hindley’s voice?
It took me a very long time to get into the book and i think this was because of her voice, i nearly gave up on more than one occasion. i found that the voice didn't match my vision of the character, and lacked a little expression.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Had a couple of chuckles with some turns of phrase.Any additional comments?
I will try another of Kerry Wilson's books as once i got into it, i did enjoy it.Overall enjoyable, took a while to get into

This is the first book by Kerry Wilkinson that I've listen to, following a recommendation by a friend. I found her to have an extremely easy style of writing, narrated faultlessly by Becky Hindley.
The story itself has credible characters and builds with steadily increasing pace that has you on the edge of your seat by the end, and ties up the loose end so neatly it almost escapes you.
One factual error spoils it very slightly, more so because it could have been so easily addressed within the story, but don't let that put you off, it's well worth a listen. I shall be trying the next in the series!
Excellent
