About this listen

EVERWOOD FALLS a small supernatural community tucked up in the Colorado Rockies where witches, werewolves and vampires can live without fear of discovery, and those with curses they can't control are sent to keep the existence of magic from being revealed to Mundanes.

As a prince of the fae High Court, Asher Heath has always been caught between two worlds, the kingdom of faerie where his fire magic is unparalleled and the human realm where he works as a firefighter. But two months ago, he lost control of a blaze his fae magic was supposed to contain, with tragic results. With his magic poisoned by a demon curse, he can't risk getting close to anyone including Gwyn, the fierce and beautiful dragon shifter he encounters out in a thunderstorm in the woods. But trouble has followed Asher to Everwood Falls. An arsonist is setting fires around town using demon magic to possess their victims and their targets get bigger every time.

Gwyneth Drake doesn't need a prince to save her. She shifts into a twenty-foot fire-breathing dragon who can fight her own battles. A fierce advocate for the dragon community, she was forced into hiding when an ex tried to sear her dragon from the skies. Now dragon blood has been found at one of the arson sites and she and Asher will have to work together to stop the arsonist before they strike again. Someone from Gwyn's past may have followed her to Everwood Falls, and they're too close to the case for comfort.

With a herd of enchanted elk, carnivorous spruce trees, and sentient pumpkins that stalk the local landscaping, Everwood Falls is a quirky mountain town where scales and fur mean found family.

Everwood Falls has sweet paranormal romances with cozy mysteries and guaranteed HEAs. The series can be enjoyed in order or listened to as standalones, without needing to listen to the other books.

A quick-paced fae & shifter story, full of action, family drama, firefighting, humor, intrigue, curses, betrayal, magic, mystery, twists and sweet romances. There are fae royalty, dragon and wolf shifters, mermen, vampires, angels, demons, witches, enchanted elk and more in this town; all outcasts struggling with their flawed powers but they work so well together, finding strength in friendship.

Fae Prince Asher has moved to the hidden town of Everwood Falls after he and his cousin were caught in a massive forest fire they couldn't get hold of and lost human colleagues. Here he take the position of temporary Fire Chief and adopts the old fire chief's dog Daisy (a huge wolfhound with a love for eating one of each pair of his socks).

After chasing Daisy into the forest he finds Gwyn who's a dragon shifter trying to escape her past. With a friendship forming they work together to solve the mystery of the arson attacks that seem to have followed Asher to town. Demon magic is detected but dragon blood is found at some of the scenes. And then Gwyn's ex is seen in town…

I really enjoyed this book and loved the secondary characters as much as the main ones; and enjoyed listening to it just as much, with Monica Franklin bringing the characters to life.
Now I just need a dragon s'more.

A great introduction to Everwood Falls

Welcome to Everwood Falls. Tucked up high in the Colorado Rockies this is a supernatural town whose residents can live freely without fear of human discovering them. They especially welcome any of the supernatural whose powers can't be controlled owing to curses.

Asher Heath, or if he was home in the Fae Realm, Asher Silverleaf, is a firefighter and a class one fire mage. He can control fire, contain it with his magic. When he lost control of it, poisoned by a demon curse, he moved to Everwood falls.

Gwyneth Drake is a fearsome dragon shifter forced into hiding after her ex tried to burn her out of the skies. Now he is trying to get her hack but the town, especially Asher and her best friend, a witch whom she is living with, are there to protect her.

Then there is Daisy, Asher's adopted Irish wolfhound, the enchanted elk, sentient pumpkins, the local fallen angel turned bookshop owner, the vampire hospital doctor and the demon chief of police. This unusual bunch make it work, they make sure Everwood is safe but now they are fighting something big, an arsonist who appears to have the power to possess people, wiping any memory they have of the fires they create. And in Faerie Asher's grandmother's health is failing, it is all connected and they need to find answers, soon.

A charming story, very. light, easy to listen to and offering a sprinkling of romance, an excellently woven mystery plus plenty of paranormal fun!

A charming paranormal mystery

I've only recently started listening to audiobooks, but I found the narrator very easy to listen to and thought her voice worked well with the characters.

The story was wonderful. I really liked the characters, main and side ones alike. Their voices and personalities made it easy to know who was talking.

I loved the relationship between main characters Asher and Gwyn. And I adored Daisy the cute and loveable wolfhound who likes to get into mischief.

Great storyline that had me guessing thoughout. A real shocking twist that I never saw coming.
