I only listened till the beginning of chapter 4 and couldn't any more. This book is not for me. I didn't like Timor. Listening to some of the things he went through, I understand why he is the way he is but I didn't like the choking and claiming scene. It felt wrong on all levels and I hated the reaction of the main female character. There is an obvious lack of consent. I may have continued to listen if the mfc's reaction was different, it's a big maybe.
I also didn't like the narration style. There was a constant edge and urgency to the narrator's voice. It's a little understandable because of the main character but he didn't let up a bit, which means I couldn't relax and then there was the choking scene and a lot of the dialogue was flat.
Everything just left me with a bad feeling.
