I have noticed that the stories in this series are very deep and captivating the characters have to overcome many obstacles and the one thing that gets them through it all is Love.
This is Rory and Walker's romance.
Rory Addison was a figure Skater she had represented the U.S.A. in the Olympics and won many accolades,until a horrifying incident stopped her career in skating forever.
So Rory had to start over and she did so as a teacher,she was happy teaching until some scandal drove her out the place she was living,and once again Rory had to start over still teaching she got the job at the high school in Sugar Springs.
Walker Cox grew up in Sugar Springs but moved away to go to college and get his degree in Law.He was now in his 30's and found that he was unhappy practicing Law with the firm he was currently employed in.
He had been married and now divorced and all that he seemed to do was work,work,work so he decided to go back to Sugar Springs and takeover his father's small law practice.He needed the slower pace and wanted to re-marry one day and have a family,he wanted to have a life as well as a career.
When Rory and Walker meet they have a connection but Rory is guarded after all that has happened to her in the past.
But Walker knows from the start that Rory is "The One" and he decides he will try to become her friend and then win her heart no matter what it takes.
I liked Walker he was determined to make Rory his and when he discovered Rory's past he does not judge her like she was judged by others...It just made him want her more and to take care of her heart.
I liked Rory too she is like a phoenix rising from the flames from all the terrible things that happened to her..She is brave but vunerable,I loved her courage she faced her fears and opened up her heart to Walker even though she was afraid.
Rory and Walker were wonderful together they loved hard and their relationship was sweet,and sexy too.
Lori Faiella once again narrates this audiobook just like she voiced the first book in this series..I think Lori is the ideal narrator to tell these stories and I can't imagine anyone else giving voice to these characters...She is excellent and does a fabulous performance I once again thoroughly enjoyed listening to her.
Alexa Addison's has a great imagination and her words are beautifully descriptive at times and I loved the way she put me in the moment with the characters through her descriptions.
I am really enjoying Sugar Springs and I can't wait until all of them are on audio.
Learning To Trust Again is a very surprising ride and has an unexpected curveball at the end that even I didn't see coming.
Brilliant story.
