Summary

Innsmouth, una pequeña ciudad costera que vive aislada del resto de las poblaciones vecinas. Hay algo repulsivo en la atmósfera de sus calles, en la pestilencia de las aguas de su bahía, incluso en la anatomía de sus habitantes.  El protagonista Robert Olmstead, un viajante en busca de sus orígenes familiares, se siente atraído por el pueblo y decide visitarlo de pasada hacia su destino final.
