About this listen

"Finder - Quin - when did you find your voice?" Sofi asked.

"I have had it many years," I said with a sigh. "When it came, I was too afraid to speak."

"You knew too much," Wolter nodded.

"Too much," I agreed.

Siriaa, already in its death throes, is further damaged by a ruthless politician and a rogue wizard. Quin needs powerful help to save it.

Does such a power exist?

If so, will it answer her call?

This book was very choppy and disjointed, and linked to many characters and storylines from other books Connie Suttle has written, which made it difficult to follow at times. Enjoyed the first book in the series much more. I will still get the next in the series at some point but I’m in no hurry.

It had Connie Suttle’s typical storyline of endless mates which I always feel is a shame in her series. The books would be more powerful with fewer but stronger relationships being developed, rather than lots of superficial relationships. She really misses a trick there. In each book of the series she could add an extra character and build up the back story and their bond, then not add an extra mate until the next book. Instead you just feel a distant affection to them and feel dissatisfied. Wasted opportunity!
