When the reader went into quiet or confidential mode I could barely make out the individual words even with the volume on full. I listen with a night mask with incorporated headphones. This spoilt the overall enjoyment for me.

why o why did she go loud one min and whisper the next I found that incredible annoying. the story was ok but I will not be purchasing the other novels in this story due to the performance.

This is the follow on from the TV series Home Fires and finishes the stories left hanging when the series wasn't renewed. Well read and written bringing the stories to life and giving closure. Loved it.
