Summary

Stile had problems on two different worlds. On Proton he was threatened with murder, and on Phaze, an alternate world ruled by magic, he had to master magic, fight a dragon, win the friendship of a lady unicorn, locate his enemy among the paranoid Adepts and return out of Phaze to win the Great Games on Proton. After that, he was ready to face the real problems!

Adept Piers Anthony Book

I have always liked Piers Anthony. As a young teen, I read all the Adept Series and when I am old, I am still enjoying the skill and fun of his books. Old or young you will like them, if you like SciFi and just to relax.

Deeper than it seems

This series explores the fallacy of racism and exploitation. The destruction of land in the search of riches and what we are willing to do to achieve it. I read these books as a kid and was amazed at its application to our day in the age of Trump and our willingness to rape the land and the subjugation of people and our environment to the detriment to all mankind. I recommend this to all.

Fantastic series!

I read all of the books in this series when I was in Jr and Sr high school, and loved them. Now revisiting them as a 50 something adult with my own teenage children I realize just how good, and how deep the themes run. There is great wit and humour, mixed with very deep themes of friendship, love, commitment, duty, loss, and gain paired alongside social commentary and environmental issues that; while present, are never heavy-handed or preachy. As such these novels work on so many levels. Whether you are simply seeking a fantasy diversion from "mundania", or looking for a story with deep meaning, you will find what you are looking for here.

really heats up this book.

The story line really builds and matures this "episode." Love it. It's sophisticated yet fun, without being pretentious.
