I really enjoyed this book, the character development and world building are very well done for such a short story, my only quirk with this particular audiobook was that sometimes it was difficult to follow who's point of view the narrative was coming from. The majority of the story is told in first person by Jade herself, but then it will suddenly change to another character and their observations of her but with no warning or change in tone from the narrator so we know we are now hearing a new narrative voice.

Overall tho, I did really enjoy this book and I like that characters of Jade and her brother and look forward to seeing how this all plays into the bigger picture of the complete novel.
