Summary
Invasions and sabotage. Two civilizations doing anything to exist. War crimes are the norm.
Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns.
The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most - and is instantly plunged into their bitter war. To gain the freedom he desires, Joe needs to turn to the less savory aspects of his class.
Engulfed by darkness, Joe can only hope he’ll be able to snuff out the light.

Random events with a hapless fool would be a better title
It seems MC gets more stupid and less wise for every int and wisdom point gained.
Either that or author simply forgot half of what he has previously written.
Been hoping for the past 2 books that something would change, but it just got worse. Thats the last book for me Im jumping off the random-events train.

The worst so far, in a mostly good collection.
Loved the first ones. 8/10
This however is closer to 5.5/10
Disappointing story, irritating side characters, with close to no separate personality trates.
The narrator does a good job, but sadly can't save the story. "Brooo"...

getting worse with each book
Its everything, narration, story, MC acting erratic and childish, pretty random story line, but the narration is what kills it, cringed way too much. finished the book as I'm pretty far invested in series so finished it up.
series itself started great but degraded pretty badly to the end.
also extremely vanilla pg13

Its ok but not great
its ok but it just did not entertain as previous books in series did. All new characters bar Joe, and all of them were flat and unrelatable, instantly forgettable.
The characteration in previous books was entertaining, the accents given to the flat one dimensional characters in this book were OTT and quite annoying at times. This pretty much ruined the story for me.

Not bad, but...
It's book 6, okay. Book 6. Why is the main character still making comments like "I need to remember I have characteristics"? I get that the main character is meant to be a scatterbrain, but it's getting a bit tedious now. There needs to be growth. The character needs to actually grow as a person, not just in stats and skills, but mentally. There have been plenty of "lessons" enforcing the need for growth, and the character keeps saying he needs to "remember", yet he never does... ever.
Book 6 guys and gals. Book 6. Haaaa.
It's okay as a sequel to book 5, but it's not great. If you've read the other 5 books, you will read this regardless of my words just to see the continuation of the story, but the frustration it will leave you with? Know I tried to warn you. XD

Good Book,
Again I wish this showed more development in the Charector and not the same old standard as this seems to be again

Very poor
I had great hopes for this book, having enjoyed the story so far. Unfortunately it has the classic fault of the main character becoming too powerful, and most particularly becoming able to perform miracles of magic without explanation. It became tedious and once again, for unknown reasons he becomes embroiled in yet another scrape and pulls yet another rabbit out of his hat.
Shame.

This is where I owe out
This book drags, with tonnes of filler and no core story progression. Earth, all but forgotten. In the entire series the prologue and maybe 4 more pages reference what's happened to the world the MC came from and its annoying. As for the rest of the plot, at this point it primarily feels like filler. I read the reviews for the rest of the series and have decided that this is where I stop listening. I usually give an author a book or two to see if things pick up but having done that here, it's downhill from book 2.
Disappointed.
