About this listen

Ilias is the youngest of the dragons and is fed up with being treated like a child. He seems to get sicker by the day and knows he must find his mate. When fate crosses their paths, she’s neither trilled nor trusting. But when she gets kidnapped, Ilias must prove to her that they belong together.

Sarah J Stone has an interesting style. This is the shorter book but she somehow manages to touch on serious topics, in this case drug addiction and abuse, without compromising the romantic and sexy aspects of the story. She manages to write paranormal romances with substance.

That said, the two protagonists are young and that is evident in their interaction and the choices they make. To be honest they are a little younger than I normally enjoy reading but I still liked the story and look forward to the remainder of the series. In the larger picture of the series, the dragons are shifting from being a group of directionless, damanged bachelors to becoming a family and clan. I am sure as they become more cohesive, there will be more opportunities to address their personal issues and their enemies.
