About this listen
A mysterious invitation leads to a secret society of time travellers and a perilous mission into the past in this poignant and powerful novel.
Troubled ex-journalist Luke Seymour discovers an incredible untapped talent after being recruited by The Nostalgia Club – an eccentric group of time travellers who meet in the back room of an Edinburgh pub.
Honing his newly discovered – and dangerously addictive – time travel skills, Luke learns the secrets of the club's members, battles to solve the mystery of their missing leader, and plunges ever deeper into his own history – where the terrible mistake that scarred his life is waiting …

One major floor I saw was one of the integral characters (Adam) piloting his younger self and decides to stay in the past. Whilst in the present his body is withering away. Ultimately if he dies in the present, he dies in the past too. No one points that out to him.
The narration was ok except for that Geordie accent 🙄.
Story was likeable and some of the characters were believable. You’d definitely try and place a bet on the lottery though wouldn’t you? 😆

I did find myself drifting into thought about my own time line and nostalgia club - very thought provoking and oozes nostalgia of a time I remember so well.
The Malky wisdom, and back stories of the other characters were excellent as short stories in their own right too.
Looking forward to more from the author and narrator.
Beautifully Crafted Story and Narration
