He'll mark her flesh. She'll claim his heart.

Always the dutiful daughter, Lady Joselyn is weeks away from marrying a rival lord in order to save her house. However, she suddenly finds herself in the clutches of an ancient beast she’s only ever heard of in legends. More terrifying than that is the beast’s master, a wild man who insists Joselyn is his bride by right, and plans to seal his claim in blood.

Dragon-rider Hollen has finally captured the woman of his dreams, though he quickly learns waiting for her was less than half the battle. His new bride wants nothing to do with him, and Hollen knows he only has one chance to change her mind.

Their wills pitted against each other, Joselyn will go to any lengths to free herself from this savage and fulfill her marriage contract. Her father’s life depends upon it. To win her over, Hollen will do whatever he must, even if it means keeping secrets. Even as she plots her escape, Joselyn begins to wonder if one can also be bound by a duty to their own heart.

Includes "Sven the Collector", a bonus story from The Dokiri Brides series.

This is not the normal kind of romance book I read but I was hooked from chapter 1.

I finished this in 2 days (it would have been sooner if I didn’t have to sleep). The narrator is brilliant at bringing all the characters to life.

This book for me has been a non stop emotional rollercoaster, from beginning to end.

I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.

OMG Fantastic

A well written audible, Shane East narrated the story incredibly well, particularly when his voice went deep 😃 will definitely be listening to more of Denali Day’s stories.

Loved it 😃

I really enjoyed this book. The narration, the characters, and the story; all worked so well together to create a really exciting and enjoyable book. I couldn't stop listening to it and I finished it in a very short period of time.

Exciting

I wasn’t expecting much with it being included in the membership but my god how wrong I was! Loved the book and loved the narrator! 5 stars 100%

Love this book

I'll give the book the praise, that it was fairly well written, mildly entertaining and the story constructed in way that it made the premise somewhat convincing. Also the narrator did a fantastic job with what he had to work with.
However I was still not charmed.

Firstly, the premise is iffy at best and the scales never balanced. It was your typical YA novel with your typical stubborn and naive MC and typical hot but controlling "alpha male" ML. In fact, it seemed that the ML's best (only) qualities were having a good physique and not raping the MC when he could have.

Let's just say, I won't be reading any more of this series...

Great narration, questionable content
