The first time that Kane met Phoebe left an impression that he would never forget. That meeting evolved into a relationship until she ended it without really giving him a reason why. The next time he sees her is when she comes to the security business he owns with his family and when finds out that she is danger he is determined to protect as well as convince her to give him a second chance.

Phoebe comes from a protective family which didn’t always mix well with her independent personality. She didn’t end her relationship with Kane because she didn’t love him and as they find themselves spending time together the feelings between them are stronger than ever and now they must not only deal with the past but the escalating threats as well.

Suspense that keeps you on edge, secrets you don’t see coming and two characters who realize that communication and love can overcome anything. The performance of the narrators brought out the defender in Kane and the spirited side of Phoebe as well as the special relationship they shared.

WOW - we knew Kane and Phoebe's story would be one huge story to tell. Well some authors might drop bombshells.... What Carrie Ann Ryan just did was wipe out the dinosaurs!
Not saying anymore because I don't want to even think of the massive secret that was revealed just incase you can read my mind. Just know you NEED to read this

I went in to this one hoping for an amazing listen and I am happy to announce this one was even better than i hoped. The character had such an amazing story seeing them work through their past and their journey to the future. This one also had so much suspense and drama to keep every bit of your attention firmly on the story. Another thing about this one is that the narration is beyond perfect for this story. All the stars

This was a captivating listen with the perfect blend of romance, suspense, and emotion. I fell for both Kane and Phoebe and found it hard to pause because I was invested in their story! CAR gave us a few surprises within this book that gave an OH WOW moment. This was a lovely second-chance romance with enjoyable characters.

Aiden Snow and Isabelle Ruther were a perfect pairing for Kane and Phoebe. I believe this was my first listen with Isabelle Ruther and I enjoyed her narration and smooth voice. Both narrators were easy on the ears and really elevated the story for me.

OMG so much happens in this book. It’s a crazy storyline and so much goes on between Kane and Phoebe.
Huge scenes in this book that are just a rollercoaster.
I absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan and she writes the best books in every genre but also picks the best narrators for her books.
