About this listen

After Paul Stutzman lost his wife to breast cancer, he sensed a tug on his heart - the call to a challenge, the call to pursue a dream. With a mixture of dread and determination, Paul left his job, traveled to Georgia, and took his first steps on the Appalachian Trail. What he learned during the next four and a half months changed his life and can change yours as well.

In Hiking Through, you'll join Paul on his remarkable 2,176-mile trip through 14 states in search of peace and a renewed sense of purpose. Along the way, you'll meet fascinating and funny people, experience trail magic, and discover that every choice we make on the path has consequences for the journey. More than that, you'll come away with a new understanding of God's grace and guidance, even in the smallest things.

I enjoyed the story very much. I didnt get converted but I appreciate the authors telling of his story and found it moving when he reached the end of the trail.

What a powerful true story of God discovery and self discovery, friendship and family. I would love to send this book to so many people and will pray about it. Fascinating to hear his journey of breaking away from religiosity and I too have experienced a similar freedom through loss and adversity. I do hope and pray others pick up this book and as a freebie on audible plus is such a blessing. Not sure I could endure the walk on the AT. All admiration and respect for all he persevered with and through. Thank you. God bless you.

Transformational journey for him and me

One of the best I've listened to, leaves you thinking a lot about life and others things I won't go into.

I was really enjoying this book for many chapters. The initial references to religion were fine, as they were part of the author’s story. But as you go through the book it becomes more and more about preaching about God. Each to their own, but it’s not what I was expecting to read, so be warned if you’re not into finding God around every corner of the trail!

To much religion for an adventure story!
