A high-level coach obviously wrote this...someone who knows not just about the psychological side of "sport", but the mechanical and physiological side as well. I'm past my prime to become a professional athlete, however, I was a high-performance athlete "back in the day" and found myself wishing I had a resource like this back then. I hope what I've learned with this book can transcend into my young kids who most definitely received athletic DNA. I highly recommend this for parents who have kids in sports or teens and twenty-somethings who want to compete at a high level!

Your mindset is super important in terms of sporting success. I remember being the fastest runner in my year but then struggling at competitions. The difference was that I lacked confidence in my ability to win. This audiobook aims to address the issue of mental and physical performance in sports. I wish that I had listened to this audiobook as a teenager.

This audiobook is incredible for anyone who wants to take their game to the next level. We often think we can't do more then what we are currently doing as athletes but the author clearly explains how you mind can take you to new heights which is what I try to do every day. I'm a competitive tennis player and I get a little mental when I play singles. Doubles, not so much. Ultimately, my favorite chapter of the book was focusing on mental imagery and visualization. Perfect rehearsal in the mind does create a subconscious skill. Creating a natural auto-pilot skill when you get on the court. This alone was worth listening to this book, and there were many other tidbits that will help your game as well. Highly recommend.
