Summary

Once again, legendary researcher and investigator of the supernatural Tom Slemen brings you a chilling yet thought-provoking collection of 50 tales of the paranormal in Haunted Liverpool 23, and in this eagerly awaited audiobook you will be introduced to the sinister “Cosmic Joker,” who has a cruel and deadly sense of humour, and the joke is always on you as he flouts the laws of probability and stacks the odds against you in a terrifying way.

Plus, read about the ancient apparitions associated with the Devil’s Woods, the creepy fate of the vanishing hippies of Sefton Park, the uncanny "3 a.m. effect," which you will most probably experience after reading this book – and read about the incredible time slips that Tom has investigated, including one where a 1970s woman found herself among naked drug-crazed dancers in some future rave party. Plus:

  • Unravel the mystery of the top secret military train that arrived in Liverpool’s Central Station – was it carrying a nuclear missile?
  • The bizarre well-documented case of eerie doppelgangers that menaced a Liverpool couple.
  • The terrifying yet inexplicable reports of werewolves at large in Liverpool.
  •  The weird story of Renshaw Street’s Faceless ghost – who was he?
  •  A sinister case of a real-life Skeleton in the Cupboard in the Anfield district of Liverpool.
  •  The unfortunate former solicitor who was trapped in a dimensional hell between this world and limbo - What was his fate?
  • The Liverpool housewife who was accosted by a group of ghosts from different eras as she lay in a hospital bed after an operation - They wanted to take her over to their side.
  • The Crosby man of 1973 who talked to a Texan woman in 1962 via shortwave radio – and warned her of JFK’s assassination.
  • The many chilling reports of the ghosts and apparitions haunting the roads.

More Wonderful Spooky Tales

Another fantastic collection of unusual tales from the master, Tom Slemen. These are stories you will hear no where else, full of strange, weird, terrifying and heartbreaking tales. Slemen is a master storyteller and you won't want to stop at just one book. I read this book using immersion reading, while listening to the audiobook. Narrator Nigel Peever is wonderful at accents and his expert narration along with some cool sound effects, bring this book to life. A fantastic read.

Haunting Tales of the supernatural

I can honestly say that I love this series of creepy tales. They are dynamic and descriptive just don't listen to them in the dark. Nigel Peever makes the perfect narrator with his many creepy voices. I love the stories but I know that I don't want to come across any of these phantoms. I can't wait to hear the next book. I received this audio book at my request. I am leaving an honest review of my own volition.
