Story
This book - which put Liverpool on the paranormal map - is about ghosts - whatever they are. Every culture has believed in ghosts at one time or another: Buddha trained himself to overcome fear by sitting in a haunted cemetery. Spooky tales are not just a contemporary phenomenon - there are several ghosts mentioned in the Old Testament. In the course of a person's lifetime, the chances of encountering a ghost are surprisingly high.

Story
Running parallel to the conventional history of Liverpool ... there is an unseen seam of supernatural stories that have been largely ignored by the strait-laced historians,' says Torn Slemen, who is, of course, fascinated by this other history and no subject matter is too strange or too terrifying to merit his scrutiny. While some stories may prove to be nothing more than urban myths, many turn out to be only too spine-chillingly true.

More Haunted Stories to Keep You Up at Night
Slemen does a great job telling these ghost stories and they are a lot of fun to listen to. This volume had some of my favorite stories that I have heard yet. I really enjoyed the timeslip, timewarp, and lei line stories. I really enjoyed the more scientific questions some of these paranormal stories conjur up versus some of the others volumes that focus more on ghost stories. This one had a great mix of both and is a solid installment.
I’m a big fan of Nigel Peever’s production and am in awe at the amount of effort he puts into them. Peever does such a great job with these stories and his voices and accents really bring each story to life. He really provides the shine to these stories. All the extra sound effects added to the story make it a wonderful listen that is a must to experience.
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

More Fascinating Tales Found Nowhere Else
This is another fascinating chapter in the ongoing Haunted Liverpool series. Author Tom Slemen includes the strange and usual proceedings you have come to expect. There are also a number of fascinating time slip occurrences in this edition as well. As is the case, you will not find these intriguing tales anywhere else. Highly addicting. I read this book using Immersion Reading while listening to the audiobook. Narrator Nigel Peever is brilliant as usual with his wonderful accents.
