Summary

Ghosts are always hungry, someone once said and no one knows how ravenous they really are more than Ed and Lorraine Warren, the world's most renowned paranormal investigators.

For decades, Ed and Lorraine Warren hunted down the truth behind the most terrifying supernatural occurrences across the nation and brought back astonishing evidence of their encounters with the unquiet dead. From the notorious house immortalized in The Amityville Horror to the bone-chilling events that inspired the hit film The Conjuring, the Warrens fearlessly probed the darkness of the world beyond our own, and documented the all-too-real experiences of the haunted and the possessed, the lingering deceased and the vengeful damned.

Graveyard chronicles a host of their most harrowing, fact-based cases of ghostly visitations, demonic stalking, heart-wrenching otherworldly encounters, and horrifying comeuppance from the spirit world. If you don't believe, you will. And whether you listen alone in the dead of night or in the middle of a sunny day, you'll be forever haunted by its gallery of specters eager to feed on your darkest dread.

Didn't put this book down from start to finish.

A fascinating insight into the paranormal. First book I've read by the Warrens though I'm very familiar with their work. Loved the history in this book and the variety of stories. Definitely goosebumps given!

Believer or sceptic, an interesting listen

I've heard a lot about Ed & Lorraine Warren recently, and enjoyed the Conjuring 1 and 2 - Annabelle fell a bit flat but that's just me. I wasn't sure what to expect from this audiobook, but what it actually contains is a number of short stories (told as such, presumably dramatised somewhat) about supernatural or paranormal activity that the Warrens and their society believe to be authentic. Whether or not you agree with their belief, the stories are all well told and entertaining and your personal belief or lack thereof needn't ruin your enjoyment of the story. I'm often sceptical, thinking that sounds like too much of a coincidence or that people don't react that way or etc - but whether I believed them or not, the stories are still worth listening too. That's quite an achievement in an area that so polarises opinion are paranormal research. I'm glad I gave it a try, and may give some of the other books in this series a try when credits allow.

interesting stories but not that scary

the book was OK but not one of their better reads. I found it to be without the scare factor.

A Solid Creepy Ride.

The book revolves mostly around Union Cemetery in Connecticut, but there are a few stories that are about different cemeteries. I definitely think that these stories had a solid storyline, even though it is nonfiction, and that I wasn't left with more questions as each story finished. I gave this book an A-.

Todd Haberkorn is INCREDIBLE. I've thought that he was amazing since Gregg Hurwitz's 'The Rains.' He will be getting a solid A from me.

Terrible. The Demonologist is MUCH better.

What disappointed you about Graveyard?

It was just absurdly false and made up. I mean, I'm not crazy- I know all these books are fiction but The Demonologist was very entertaining and if you're willing to suspend disbelief a little, it's a very cool listen. This one and Ghost Hunter are garbage. It seems like whoever did The Demonologist edited out all the terrible, totally obviously false stories.

Would you ever listen to anything by the authors again?

No, The Demonologist was surprisingly good so I tried a few more and they were both terrible. I'll assume The Demonologist is the only good one.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Todd Haberkorn?

I'd be surprised if I did. He's a good narrator except his female voice he does. More than half the characters are female and his female voice is hilarious at first but after a while it's really annoying and distracting. Someone walked past my office and I'm pretty sure they thought I'd lost my mind and was doing voices, talking about ghosts. Also his mexican voice was pretty hilarious too.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Graveyard?

I'd insist they provide references for all the abviously falsified scientific and historic claims they made up through out the entire book.

Any additional comments?

Just listen to The Demonologist and be done with this group of books, it's the only good one.

11/10

Big fan of both the Warren's and of the narrator. Had to space it out because I wanted to finish listening to the whole thing in one day. Sad it's over.
