About this listen

The legend of the werewolf is as old as man himself. From Ed and Lorraine Warren, the world's most famous demonologists, comes perhaps their most incredible and horrifying case: the true story of William Ramsey, whose bizarre seizures terrified the English town of Southend-on-Sea. Believing Ramsey to be a victim of demonic possession, the Warrens arranged for the rite of exorcism to be performed. Not since the exorcist shocked the nation has there been such a horrifying account of a supernatural battle between good and evil within the soul of one human.

Books by Ed and Lorraine Warren also include Graveyard, Ghost Hunters, The Haunted, In a Dark Place, and Satan's Harvest.

This true story has two sides in which good verses evil. Evil is the horror and the good is the pleasant side of life that contrasts with the horror. Bill's metamorphosis into a werewolf frightened me to my wits, I know it is a true story because I have seen such a werewolf in the early 1990's. It had red eyes. The pleasant side was nostalgic. It reminded me of the 1970's and 1980's through Edd and Lorraine Warren's description of their summer vacation to the South End on Sea. The description is flawless. Bill and his wife's unconditional love for each other and their family was also profound and heartwarming. It helped them fight the evil possession through the exorcism. The nostalgia in the story was special for me because I also grew as a boy on a coastal town like the South End on Sea but in Europe in those exact decades. In the story i felt the warm summer breeze of the moonlit night and the sweet aroma of flowers as Bill and his wife lay in their bed enjoying the peace and beauty of the good old days.

Overwelmingly frightening but also nostalgic
