Summary

Golfer, Approach the First Tee!

In the traditional sense, the norm for any newbie golfer is to begin their golfing journey by booking lessons with a golf coach or pro. This individual will then work on factors such as, Grip, Stance, Alignment, and Posture.

All this is done even before you swing a club at a golf ball. Sure, these fundamentals are important as they unlock the key to your consistency. However, they also have one major flaw - no matter how often they are practiced, there is no guarantee that you will even hit a ball on the sweet spot!

Throughout my golfing career, which included seven wonderful years spent as a professional golfer, I always found that consistently great ball striking was lacking. I spent a whopping three decades unpacking, analyzing, and practicing all of the facets of a perfect golf swing.

I tinkered and messed around with the sole aim of that elusive continuously perfect strike. After many thousands of hours of practice, it hit me (pun intended). You know what secret eluded me for so many years? What one thing was all-important? Impact!

I am now a firm believer that golfers at all levels and standards should be more mindful of this key position called impact. Even if we analyze the plethora of different golf swings on the US PGA Tour and the European Tour, they are all different, but there is one factor that ties them all together. You guessed it, my friend - impact!

It’s true that some pro golfers might look like mainstream beasts when it comes to their backswing, but when that beautiful, clear ping resounds through the air, the impact rings through your ears like a bell and causes goosebumps!

I, for one, completely understand your frustration and why many clubs are broken. At the moment, you might be either too overwhelmed to try something new or about to give up golf and sell your clubs.

The key is to start with the basics, and I aim to open up your mind to a different perspective by revealing the magical world of your mind and how this can improve your game. There is still a stigma around using mental performance coaches, thus resulting in wannabe golfers sweeping its benefits under the practice mat.

You might’ve tried everything up to this point, read many books and blogs, and found that nothing worked. This book, my friend, is where I will reveal the game-changing power of golf meditation techniques to you.

I will take you on a journey of self-discovery and show you how you can improve your game from the get-go and let go of those bad habits that hamper your game and end up with you having to buy many penalty drinks at the 19th hole!

In the first phase, our departure point will be learning everything there is to know about proper positioning, how you can get that perfect swing, and the laws of golf impact. After doing all of that, you will be able to find your impact position.

In the second phase, I will disclose all of the secrets of meditation to you. You can expect to learn different meditation techniques and how this can improve your game.

The third phase of our two-ball journey focuses on chip shots and putting.

When you have graduated from these phases, we will transition to the short game, including the fundamentals of pitch shots, the different grips, clubs, and their purposes.

Finally, when you are ready, we will play a full round of golf and put all of these techniques together to get you prepared for your first or next golf outing.
