Time is of the essence with a missing kid case and Tess must face her nemesis to help find the young girl. The Govenor fights her at every turn as much as his daughter does. But eventually the pieces start to come together.

When a tortured young boy turns into a man or rather serial killer with a lust for Necrophilia this is not going to be an easy case. Hearing the story after the fact makes you wonder if his mother had just been more accepting if he would have still turned out like he did. And his poor sister, did she not realize he was doing these things.

Nice narration you really bring Tess to life.

Girl with a Rose was a nice little read that kept me engaged from start to finish. I enjoyed the dynamic between the characters and the overall pacing. Tess made for an intuitive FBI agent with a lot stacked against her, yet she never blinked. Her gut instincts really carried the story, which made following her investigation fun.

Kaylee was a strong young teen who added emotional weight to the plot. David’s backstory was shocking and gave the story a darker edge, and I felt satisfied with how everything wrapped up in the end.

I’m giving this one four stars rather than five because I would have loved a few more plot twists and maybe another suspect or two to keep me guessing. It was also quite a short read, leaving me wanting just a bit more depth. Still, it’s definitely worth picking up if you enjoy a quick crime thriller with compelling lead characters!

My goodness I have to say that I can't imagine what night time is like for Ms. Wolfe! I cannot imagine writing stories like she does that sees so much into the psyche of the sadistic people she writes about. I'm afraid that I may dream about some of these books but I sure hope not. What happens in this case is so heartbreaking and i will even go so far as to say that I felt sorry for the young boy that this happened to and how it changed his life. i don't understand how parents can not love their children equally but I also realize that we all have to make our own choices in life. Tess Wynette may be getting a bad rap on the job but in the long run she's who you want on your side. Another amazing book!

Girl With A Rose (Special Agent Tess Winnett #5) was a great read by Leslie Wolfe.Fifteen-year-old Kaylee disappears without a trace. The FBI special Agent assigned to the case is, Tess Winnett. It seems as though more questions are posed with every lead that was uncovered. It seems as though there are other girls who have vanished and never seen from again. Tess is looking into the disappearances to see if there is a connection. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
