Summary

ADVENTURE TO THE TOWERS, SAVE THE PRINCESSES, GAIN NEW POWERS.

I was about to be promoted to Deputy Manager, when a strange voice—coming from a glowing gem I found in the stationery drawer—told me I was meant for more.

I was thinking the same thing.

Before my boss' eyes, I was transported to a fantasy world of mana and monsters. When I felled the foul beasts, the gem embedded in my hand absorbed their essence—a light that made me more adept with weapons, and able to wield increasingly better ones. It even grew my body.

It turned me into the man I was supposed to be.

With a sword on my hip and an adorable apothecarist at my side, I’ll trek to the mysterious towers built by the evil witch king. We don’t know why he built them, but we think they’re the source of his power.

Power better suited in my hands.

Along the way, I’ll need to defeat his demented Black Gem Knights, and pick up the pieces of the kingdom he broke.

I'll meet a stern-faced tribal archer, with a heavy weight upon her tattoo-covered shoulders. I’ll also meet a beautiful fluffy-eared maiden, who loves a good scratch behind them.

Kirk's Best Work Yet!

This was probably my favorite out of the novels Kirk Mason has released so far.

Didn't really connect with Rouge Calamity by really enjoyed Bestiary series but so far this series looks set to favorite of his work so far!

The world building is great and it setups a lot of ideas and characters for future installment and provides a goal which you want to the characters succeed as they progress through their mission whilst being pursued by the Witch King & the Twins. The characters relationship feel very natural and isn't forced by the situation or categorised into certain tropes.

Daniel Wisniewski is awesome as always, I first heard him narrate Isekai Assassin by Grayson Sinclair and when he is involved in a series it is always on my radar. As for Veronica Adler this was the first time I heard a novel with her involved and he was brilliant, afterwards I looked at how many audiobooks she has previously done and was surprised by how few it was since she did such a wonderful job. Hope to hear more from her in the future.

I'm torn between contining the series on Kindle Unlimited or waiting for the next audiobook as the Narration due really were superb.

A Beginning

A unique version of a common story. The flow of the story was well done. The characters, in my opinion, are strong and true. But what brings the story to life is the narrators. They do a fantastic job of establishing individual characters. It amazes me how with a change of the accent can bring the characters to life. The story was was written in a common form. Not a really strict manner nor full of comedy. It was done as if you would be living it.
The only let down is I have to wait for the next book.
Well worth the read! 5*****

My first dark fantasy

I don't know what I was expecting I haven't listened to one of these stories before. It's fairly simple feels like fan fiction. The erotica bits lack detail as does the plot, but overall quite fun to have on in the background. I know that sounds harsh but I will be getting the second one so it did make a good impression overall
