Summary

Size doesn't matter...unless you're tiny.

I thought I found the guy. You know, that guy? The one that makes your knees go weak with one look? I found him. And then he dropped his pants and I climbed out the window. Oh, not because the size of his anaconda scared me, not at all. But because I didn't want to show him mine.

Life isn't easy when your trouser snake is more of a trouser tadpole.

I've got a plan to fix that, though. Aunt Rosy is hosting a couple's competition. All I have to do is win it, grab the prize money and get surgery to make myself bigger. The only problem? The guy Aunt Rosy's match-making app chooses as my partner for this competition.

It's the anaconda guy.

And I don't think I'm over him.

This novel is a contemporary MM romantic comedy of approximately 70,000 words. Buy if you're into books featuring second chances, friends to lovers (with some complications!), reality TV, cute pets, and a good bit of insanity.

#Love Wins - humorous

"Love Wins" is a series that creates a good mood. I like this series very much and had been looking forward to this fourth volume.
This time it's about Tiger and Daniel, who are already friends online. Each has different motives for being on the live show, but neither of both would have expected to be thrown together on the show, of all things. The two characters Daniel and Tiger are wonderfully portrayed and have I said I love Aunt Rosy?

Ana Byrde has an engaging and humorous writing style. The story had a lot to offer: There were lots of funny scenes, but you were also rooting for the two to get together and there was a bit of suspense and drama as well.
A perfect mixture!
Oh well, I love the pets and their activities that are featured in the LoveWins series. And a ferret like that is kind of cute....

John Solo did a great job as always, breathing life into Tiger and Daniel with his different voice colorations. Aunt Rosy got a voice with recognition from John and it was fun to listen to the story.

If you enjoy reading books about second chances and like humor, you should definitely listen to Game, S*x, Match!

Game Show Dating Ramped Up

When reality tv meets the porn industry in a flashy and wacky game show, drama and shenanigans are inevitable. Mix in hidden identity, second chance love, and the trademark humor Ana Byrde is known for, and this book is a delightful, laugh-out-loud read. This book can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the other books in the series since previous characters make an appearance in this story. Plus, they are extremely funny and worth the read. Besides the humor, the story also contains a really touching and sweet romance between Tiger and Daniel. I loved Tiger’s characterization – he’s such a force of nature even while hiding his insecurities.

The audiobook was narrated by John Solo who does a fantastic job. I love the character voices he used and really enjoyed the overall performance.

Funny, sweet and sexy in equal measure

This is an outlandish but sweet low-angst story that has all the feels. Centred around attempts to win a sexy game show, the narrator brings the characters to life in ways that had me snorting aloud!

The humour shines throughout without detracting from the heated moments and the moments of mild peril have you rising and falling with the emotional temperature of the book.

I can't wait to check out the rest of the series.

Brill

This is a brilliantly fun story that is really steamy as they go through the challenges, can Daniel and Tiger get their second chance though it won’t be easy. I loved Rooty the ferret and their antics.

Love wins!

I love the ebook and it was simply wonderful! so of course I had to hear the audio version especially when I discovered John Solo was the narrator. He is my favorite voice actor ever, and he made a wonderful job with this book. It was a delight to hear all the hilarious innuendos, kinky situations and sweet heartwarming moments be read with his deep, smooth voice. An incredible book narrated beautifully. What else can you ask for?

Hilarious, relatable, adorable, recommended

The story is blooming marvellous, Ana writes such amazing characters that you feel you know them IRL and genuinely want the best outcome for them. though they need to take a cooking class or something, living off of Cup'o'noodles and cucumbers alone would surely shrink a di*k. wait... lol

the games in the contest are so ridiculous, it's fabulous! The fact that all the contestants barely question Aunt Rosy is brilliant too. Like they already know Aunt Rosy is a cat9 hurricane or quake. I know I would always want to be on her good side.

As always with Ana, the pets are adorable and up to no good... I do not need a ferret, I do not need a ferret, I do not need a ferret.

John Solo's performance was on point, delivering jokes like he's a natural comedian... it might be scripted, but timing is key. lol! Jokes aside, he sets the right tone in all the right places, zooming in and out almost, so you're fully immersed in the story.

There is a negative though... and I'm so sorry to Ana, but its just... I didn't want it to end. And yet, you ended it. so now I'm going off into mourning.

See you for book 5! (pretty please 🙏🏼 let there be a 5th!)

Sexy story!

John Solo does a fantastic job performing rom-com books and this one is no exception. I love the different voices he gives each character.

This series by Ana Byrde continues to delight me. I loved all of the interactions between Daniel and Tiger. There were many really hot scenes and I loved the reality show competition. Aunt Rosy is a fun character some of the things she does are hilarious.

The epilogue for the story was like the cherry on top of an ice cream sundae!

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Laughter and sweetness

This book made me laugh, cringe and smile happily. I love the characters’ corkiness. Add a competition arranged by aunt Rosy, spiced lube, a snake and a ferret. Put John to voice all the characters and 🤩

Seriously fun, ridiculous, and cute!!!

OMG, this is my most favourite #lovewins novel so far - it’s riotous, ridiculous, and so heartwarming! Daniel dated Tiger in college until Tiger inexplicably snuck out of the bathroom window literally leaving Daniel with his pants down. Years later their paths cross at a crazy couples convention sponsored by Aunt Rosie’s adult products company - can they sort out their big and little issues? Aunt Rosie, who appears in earlier books, is fully unleashed here, her many competitions and setups are really fun. Give that nearly *every* m/m romance serves up well-endowed main characters, it was fantastic to read / listen to a story where one of the MCs was definitely not - great messaging about learning to accept ourselves and others as they are and not defining or valuing people solely by physical attributes. The Queer community is not good at this and we need to do better. Ana Byrde and her writing duo, Ann-Katrin Byrde, write brave, feisty, and stubborn underdog characters like Tiger well and often, and they do so here. John Solo channels the quavering zaniness of Aunt Rosie, the frenetic impulsiveness of Tiger, and the measured care of Daniel absolutely perfectly - the audio is a joy to listen to!

Body Positivity Is This Rom-Com's Shining Star

I'm all for stories with body positivity, and that issue - or, rather, overcoming a very personal physical insecurity - is at the heart of "Game, S*x, Match."

Set amid a couples reality game show hosted by series mainstay Aunt Rosy, this story has a madcap romantic comedy quality to it, as Daniel and Tiger are paired up to win the contest and end up falling in love in the process. I was much more interested in the relationship aspect than the absurd competitions and stunts throughout, so the latter didn't really hold my interest.

Where Daniel is all quiet confidence, Tiger is boisterous but insecure, and their connection is sweet and feels genuine. Daniel's loving encouragement - in word and deed - of Tiger to accept and embrace what's always been a sizeable personal insecurity, is heartwarming and what I enjoyed most about their story.

Narrator John Solo delivers a good performance overall, especially in the quiet moments between Daniel and Tiger, but I'm not a fan of his female voices here (Aunt Rosy's voice was comical and not in a good way). I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Sweet Story, Good Narration

I really enjoyed this delightful friends to lovers story. For me books about Reality TV and characters who start their relationship on it are either hit or miss. This story is definitely a Hit, where cute characters so adorable together stuck in fun situations and entertaining challenges with a bit of spice. I always wondered why would anyone want a snake as a pet, well now I know🐍. Narrator did a good job telling this story and giving voice to all the characters. Overall this was sweet and entertaining listening experience.

This was such a sweet and fun story!! I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series so far but this might just be my favorite. I really enjoyed Daniel and Tiger’s romance. I’m a sucker for banter and this story had plenty of it. Narration by John Solo was great!

FANTASTIC !

Tiger and Daniel 's story is packed with humor and adventure. The narration is spot on. There is so much packed into this love story and Aunt Rosie, too. I had lots of laugh out loud moments and urge you to listen to the rest of the series, also.

Oh my goodness 🤣

Aunt Rosie in full force 😂 poor MCs, not enough to fall in love and navigate a relationship full of secrets, but they got caught up in her love competition with lots of falic shaped objects, drums of lube ...and a ferret 🤪
A hilarious love story full of feels, quirky Aunt and cute animals 🥰

Another Hilariously Hot and Sweet Book for Love Wins

This whole series has just been just what I need to destress. Game, S*x, Match was wild with Aunt Rosy and her game show. She got a real kick messing with Daniel and Tiger, but they messed around plenty too. John Solo delivers once again making the scenes comical but soft where it needed to be. Can’t wait for more.

Great Narration of a very funny book

Game, S*x, Match is book 4 in the Love Wins series. This is Daniel and Tiger's story. Ana Byrde has once again crafted a tale packed with laughs and enough tender emotion to satisfy even the soppiest romantic (aka me).

This book had all the elements I love in a good rom-com. There was miscommunication and one really big secret, but it was never intended to be malicious. Instead it was simply a case of trying to find the right time to fess up before it came out all on its own. I loved the reality show theme; it added so much humour! Aunt Rosy really is a wonder, walker and all! The show and the contests were so much fun and provided many opportunities for Tiger and Daniel to discover and show each other how much they truly cared.

I also loved the portrayal of Tiger’s ‘small’ problem. It’s something that so rarely occurs in romances, both MM or M/F, but I loved how this touch of real-life gave so many opportunities for personal growth for Tiger.

Once again, Ana's writing was superb. She has a knack for writing characters that you can't help but fall in love with and become wholly invested in. She has epic comedic timing and the ability to blend that humour with warm emotion that will have you laughing and sighing in the same paragraph. I'm not sure what it is precisely about her writing style, but it works for me. It's fluid and engaging. It's light, and even during angsty or more serious moments, it never feels heavy or depressing. Ana is an author I go to for a 'pick me up', and I haven't yet finished one of her books without a smile on my face.

Narration: As with the other titles in this series, John Solo narrates Game, S*x, Match. I'm a relatively new listener to John's work, and he does a very good job of portraying the exuberant and and somewhat aggressive Tiger and the quieter, but I would go so far as to say more dominant Daniel (Cuke). John shows his great comedic timing, and his growly voice adds another level of steam to those scenes. He did particularly well bringing out the emotions Daniel expresses the day after he first gets to see Tiger in all his glory (you'll recognise the scene when you get there). It was everything I could imagine in my head: possessive but sensitive, growly dominant but understanding, and above all full of kindness and the first hints of love. John is to be commended on bringing these boys, and the rest of madcap cast, to life.

Game, S*x, Match could be read as a standalone, but I wouldn't really recommend it. I'd suggest reading at least the third book in the series Straight as a Cucumber for maximum enjoyment.

I'd highly recommend Game, S*x, Match for anyone looking for an addictive rom-com with just enough drama to keep it interesting. Ana has done an excellent job with this book; I can't wait to read what she has in store next!
