About this listen

Can best friends find true love? What if your best friend is your adopted brother?

Griffin can’t fathom his life without Quincy, but he also can’t ignore the crazy sexual attraction buzzing between them.

When Quincy offers up a contract to determine if the sexual tension brewing between them is worth jeopardizing their nearly decade-long friendship, Griffin finds himself helpless to say no.

Will they lose everything they’ve found in each other, or will they seize the opportunity to turn their friendship into something even better?

Forever Better Together is a male/male opposites attract, friends-to-lovers story with delicious sexual tension, a sizzling hot striptease, and emotions guaranteed to punch you in the gut.

The story is always 4-5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

as good as the ebook

This had some fantastic characters and there was so much turmoil that this certainly was a roller coaster of a book in the. Very best way. My suggestion would if you want to read this one, pick all those horrid house work jobs that you have been putting off. Get your head phones and listen o this story while you are doing them as this will keep you entertained for the whole time its playing.

Fantastic characters

I loved everything about this book! I loved that Quincy and Griff connected almost instantly from the moment they met as 10-years-old kids. Their friendship and (sort-of) brotherhood is epic and their bond unbreakable. So when they start to have deeper feelings for each other as teens, they both are scared to take the next step for fear of ruining what they have. But they soon understand that ultimately they are better together.
I love how they often communicate in Disney quotes, and the incredible amount of love, support and understanding they have for each other and for and from the other members of their extended and a bit odd family.

A super sweet coming of age story!

Quincy and Griffin have their lives intertwined when Griffin was adopted by Quincy’s grandparents. Griffin has suffered and his life changed with Mama and Papa. He and Q shared their bedroom as kids and as young adults go to the same college. They discover their love. I like that Q is so understanding of G’s tastes and choices. Love it that he lets him put his fabulous make up on him. Great narration and a heartfelt story.

Best friends and adopted brothers...

It's been just over a year since I read Forever Better Together and I was so happy to get the opportunity to listen to and review a copy of the recently released audiobook. I've listened to one other audiobook performed by Brad King (His Reluctant Cowboy, also by A.D. Ellis). I loved his performance then and I loved it now. He does some really great voices for the main characters when they were young and then later as college age kids. He also does great voices for the supporting characters – and there are quite a few.

Forever Better Together is a a good story that spans a lot of years and it has a several different tropes to it. It's a little bit taboo (adopted brothers), it's friends-to-lovers, it's new adult (college age) and it's also opposites attract.

One of the things I loved about the story was how supportive Quincy's family was. They took Griffin in as a foster child and ended up adopting him. When Quincy and Griffin came out (not at the same time) Momma and Pops continued to love them both and later even encouraged their relationship.

Forever Better Together was enjoyable, kept my attention and caused a few tears to flow – a sure sign that it was a great story for me.

A copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
