Summary

“You're not supposed to fall for your brother's best friend.”

Brynn Miles thought moving back to her family’s winery was a good idea. But when you’re the baby of the family, life can get complicated. Dating? Forget about it. Not with her three older brothers acting like human chastity belts.

To Chase Reilly, his best friend’s little sister has always been invisible. She’s so forbidden, he doesn’t let himself see her. Besides, she’s totally girlfriend material, and he doesn’t do the relationship thing.

Until the night Chase sees her. Really, truly sees her. And nothing will ever be the same.

Looking for love isn’t Brynn’s focus, and Chase is the one guy in the world she can’t fall for. He’s T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Untouchable, and just as forbidden as she is.

But once Chase set his sights on Brynn, there isn’t anything - or anyone - who’ll stop him.

Author’s note: A childhood crush. An irresistible attraction. The cutest scavenger hunt ever. And a surprisingly sweet hero who puts it all on the line when he falls head over heels for the one girl he can’t have.

The Miles Family series is best enjoyed in order.

Brynncess Finds Her Prince

Overall 3.5 stars
Performance 3.5-4 stars
Story 3 stars

This was an entertaining brother's best friend romance featuring Brynn Miles and Chase Reilly. This trope is always hit and miss for me, but I was intrigued enough by Brynn and Chase after meeting them in Broken Miles to give it a shot. There's quite a bit of instalove going on in this story and I will admit that I would have enjoyed more build up between these two. I know that they have known each other pretty much their whole lives, but the switch was a little too abrupt for me. Brynn and Chase did have great chemistry though and I enjoyed catching up with the entire Miles family again, especially Roland and Zoe. I did miss Cooper's antics though, since he's absent from a good majority of the book thanks to his feelings regarding Chase and Brynn's relationship. There's some predictable drama involving an OW, but it was resolved just as quickly as it began, and I liked how the plot involving Mr. Miles continues to unfold.

Overall, I enjoyed Vikas Adam and Ava Erickson's narration as Chase and Brynn. I did feel like sometimes Vikas Adam sort of overacted some of the scenes though and it made him come across as too phony. His female voices were also a little too forced for me. I liked Ava Erickson's chapters a lot more, but this was still an enjoyable audiobook and I'm invested in the Miles family and can't wait to listen to the rest.

This book was a mistake

I like Claire Kingsley. But the narrators weren't that great and the content was worse. I totally get being the youngest and the only girl of the family--but she's 21 and her family treats her like she's 12. And she doesnt stick up for herself. And when she finds her guy-her brothers go HAM. It was ridiculous and actually made me irritated to the extreme. Do NOT buy if you're looking for a good listen.

Forbidden more like Ruin

Once again Claire got the voices right for Chase and Brynn.
Chase is the Modern day Mr Darcy but instead he falls in love with his best friends sister. They fall in love pretty quick at the beginning but then you go through all the twist in turns until the End. Did Cooper Forgive Chase? Did Brynn forgive Cooper? You have to read to find out...but you wont be dissapointed!

Forbidden Miles

Narration: While I usually like to that the same narrators throughout a series, I really enjoyed having different narrators to really emphasize the different characters in each book. I had never heard performances from Vikas Adam and Ava Erickson but they did a great job, and I can't wait to hear other works by them.

Story: The best kind of older brothers best friend kind of story. I loved Chase and Brynn together, I didn't even see it coming while reading the first book in the series but they had such a great story. I ached so bad for Chase and his background, I seriously had tears thinking about how he felt, and how the Miles family really was his family in truth. Such an amazing continuation to the family series.

Great story

What an amazing, funny, sweet and sexy story!
As with all books by Claire Kingsley, this is a captivating story with amazing characters and fantastic family dynamics.
I Loved Chase’s and Brynn’s story, they make a beautiful couple. And Cooper’s shenanigans when he discovers his best friend is dating his little sister - you gotta love the man and his energy!
The narration by Vicas and Ava is phenomenal and perfectly portrays the main characters for an absolutely delightful listening experience.

Really captures Chase and Brynn's exuberance!

Claire Kingsley's second book in the Miles Family series is a brothers-best-friend book, featuring Chase Reilly and Byrnn Miles. Chase has been a part of the Miles family for decades, and he's always had blinders up when it comes to Brynn, but now that those blinders have fallen down, there is no stopping him from giving them the chance they want, despite the opposition from her brother, Cooper.

I loved Chase's inner turmoil and dialog. It was flat out hysterical to hear how he went from "wait, what? Stop it. I can't think of her like this" to "that's it, I'm done, she's the only one for me." Vikas Adam perfectly portrayed Chase's youthful exuberance and his shocking transformation. Chase was shocking himself - and Vikas Adam made sure we knew it and make it so enjoyable to listen to and laugh along with. Ava Erickson was a great Brynn, capturing a young woman just discovering herself and going after what she wants for the first time, while simultaneously trying to show her family that she's not a fragile little girl anymore.

Fantastic narration, and a plot that not only advances the cross-book storyline of the series, but also give us a fully-contained happily-ever-after and evolution of their relationship that makes total sense. Claire Kingsley delivered on the source material, and Vikas Adam and Ava Erickson truly brought these characters to live. The result is hours of listening that will keep you entertained, smiling and laughing.

Love, Trials, Tribulations and Happiness

Shelly who? Lol, I already likeseeing! Reilly. Brynn. is 6 years younger than Chase, and she had a crush on him growing up. When Chase and her brothers Cooper and Leo learned how her boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend, they did the unthinkable to him, a good lesson not to cheat on her sister ever sgsin! Now, Chase is dealing with Shelly, whom apparently can't take no for an answer,, as far Chase is concern. In the mean time Chase is noticing Brynn and they are becoming more attracted to each other and get together. One night they end up at Chase's place where he is roommate and best friend with Cooper. Cooper returned early from a business trip and Chase and Brynn are discovered making out/having sex on their couch. Cooper is live it, and he relationship with Chase is gone as far as Cooper is concerned . Before their relationship is mended,, Cooper behavior towards Chase is like someone had taken his best friend, his partner in crime,, regardless of who that person was; they had a history together. There's a lovely scene, when Chasenis trying to explain to Zoe how he propsed to Brynn, they are so comical. The proposal was sweet. Love Chase, he's passionate about is feelings for Brynn. unfortunately, his dad is a MAKER, imhatedthe way he spoke to Chase and the despicable things he said to him. On the other hand,, Shelly is trying to make hell for chase, lying about having his baby, stalking Him and Brynn. Then,, Lawrence the bastard shows up at their wedding wanting to create havoc! Totally disgusting, even bringing his mistress with him.. Of co the brothers united, starting with Cooper that by now was aware that Chase truly love Brynn, and I must say that the love between Cooper and Chase is eviavable. I loved this story and I am in love with Chase, as much as I love Cooper. The narrators were spot on. I know Ava Erickson 's work and she is fantastic! Vikas Adam is a nice Narrator, first tine I litsened to him. Fkng love him, he's great !

Beautiful book.

Everything about this book is exactly what I love in a book. Laugh out loud funny with a few family conflicts that makes the story more interesting and I couldn’t wait to turn onto the next page. I’m absolutely in love with Miles family, they’re so much fun to read. Each book is unique and each sibling adds their on stamp to the book.
