Then I looked through audible, and there it was. For sale. Not "In library"
I was confused. I listened to the preview. It was exactly the same recording. Which is quite easy to tell because it is not up to modern standards (quite) being 10 years old+
It is not just the same book, It is exactly the same recording of the book. However it now says "Recorded Books" rather than "Audible Original" on the thumbnail. That is the one and only difference. Then I noticed that the whole series had gone (the first 6 Lost Fleet books) deleted from my library.
I contacted Audible as this seemed completely unreasonable, I was told it was "unfortunate" and there was nothing I could do except buy the series again.
So to listen to it again I had to re-buy the book,
Don't misunderstand me. If this was a "special edition" a rerecording, a new work or something. It might be understandable. It is none of these things,. It is exactly the same (old) recording that has been deleted from my library then Audible require me to buy it a second time
So performance 5. Christian Rumell is a very good narrator - none obtrusive, clear and nuanced narrator.
Story 5. Great book part of a great series
Overall. 1. I'd give it nought if I could I feel I have been been utterly ripped off by Audible.
