Always enlightened listening. Giving a refreshing view of the difficulties of human relationships and reminding us why we are brave enough to engage with others, with glimpses of how such engagement offers opportunity for personal growth. it's not a complicated manual of the complexities of relationships as you might find elsewhere, rather an encouragement to bring awareness and spiritual practice to it. The word love is not specifically used but I was constantly reminded that 'space' is needed in close relationships and that this is not the same as distancing oneself mentally or physically, it is something deeper that we can give to ourself and others that if practiced will undoubtably lessen the drama and avoid much of the pain. A serious subject lightened with Tolle's gentle humour. Something to return to frequently
