About this listen

After a long march across the empire, Gregory finally made it to Krogga. Ambassador Rudit Glowstone, Grandmaster of Aether’s Guard, greeted him upon his arrival in the capital. After a brief meeting, she let him go to his wives and friends, arranging for them to have the few days off that Yukiko had requested. That was why Gregory spent his first two days in Krogheim going through the steps required to marry Ling, Clover, and Roshana.

Gregory had to fight his way to the temple as per tradition, even having to put down a berserker champion who had stood in his way— the locals accepted the match as being honorable, as the berserker’s bloodlust ensured that one of the two of them was going to die. Gregory was allowed to marry his three friends in a ceremony that barely deviated from local customs. He spent the next two days with his new wives, then all of his wives, making sure all of their desires were thoroughly met.

Because Gregory had killed a champion on his way to the temple, the Krogheim council asked to speak with him. His prowess and acceptance of their local customs had them extend an invitation for the new year festival to the embassy, but specifically to Gregory and Jenn, as both had proven their strength to the Kroggians. The festival led to new connections with the other ambassadors, most of whom promised to visit after the week-long festival.

Jenn and Gregory found themselves in the finals of the festival duels, but both would end up facing the newest high champion of Krog, Ragnar Ivarson. The massive warrior defeated Jenn with her chosen fighting style of speed and his skill with weapons. When Gregory and Ragnar fought, though, small problems crystallized. Ragnar wasn’t just a high champion— he was Krog reborn. Having found Aether again, he promised that they would talk soon, and he’d even bring his sister with him.

Aether's Revival is definitely one of Daniels best if not the best he's written. While this book did at times feel short and confined the world outside the characters immediate area is ever shifting. Tensions are rising in the Empire, and on its heels Krogga retakes a city, and even Buldoun(?) attempt a raid. Makes one wonder just how just the events of the next book will play out.

An awesome continuation of a great series. It's been fun to see more of the world of Aether. Andrea Parsneau does a great job of bringing the story and world to life.

Empire's Orders, Book 9 of the #AethersRevival series by 🪶@DJSchinhofen and narrated by 🎙️@MouthyMaven.

This book contains sex, 🕵️‍♂️ espionage and foresight, all thanks to our seemingly super loveable MC Gregory Pettit.

A superb addition to the series.

We're getting deep into it now as Gregory moves closer to his destiny of becoming Aether reborn.

With a vastly expanding harem of wives, it is easy to see why everybody loves❤️ Gregory, including this 🪶 humble wordsmith.

In this book, our MC always does his duty.

However, don't mistake him for being a pushover.

Say what you will about 'Greg' but he is a man of principle, excellently depicted by 🪶 @DJSchinhofen.

*SPOILER*🏴‍☠️🦜

In this📖 novel, any doubts about Greg being Aether reborn are annihilated... which led me to much happiness.

In this story, the two sides of the great war are about to really go at it when Greg is suddenly pulled through a portal to the 🏫 academy.

*Mind-blown* 🤯

I believe that this series just gets better and better with every book... as does the narration.

Of course, it would all be for nought if not for our magnificent narrator @MouthyMaven ❤️❤️❤️.

In this series, she excels at bringing a thorough and well thought-through group of voices to life.

Quite often, with any audiobook, there are more parts than character voices.

However, @MouthyMaven makes it seem so simple.

We are allowed only a glimmer into these vocal trials and tribulations in my favourite blooper's reel published by @DJSchinhofen at the end.

I am look forward to this series' continuation and the next book to come.
