Information at its finest

I think this book would be interesting for people who want to know more about themselves. It helps understand deeply who you are and how to change yourself in a better way. I've found a lot of useful information and I think everyone can find something effective for them in the book.

Waste of money

Personally I hated this - a long drawn out book, badly narrated, poor repeated content. Cant understand all these good reviews...hmmmmm!

Ok but nothing special

It is ok, but the way it is written does not translate into a hugely attractive piece when being narrated. Maybe for an actual read this one would be better. I still kept it going till the end as some are valid points.

It's worth a read for sure lots of good info

slightly annoying that it's 6 books with 6 intros and 6 endings but overall good info although a little salesy and trick orientated rather than focusing on giving value, doing good, thinking of others and generally being kind however the author does recognise this I felt it was more quick fix than long term strategy

Gosh the narration is so so drab.

A list of the pretty obvious things you've probably come across somewhere else gathered into a book for you to reflect upon. Did I enjoy it?... Yes, probably. At the least it made me focus on the points. Really let down by the drab narration and a clear intention to repeat the same advise over and over. May have been to embed the point though probably to lengthen the book.

all introduction. no directives no guidance

The book is one very long introduction to the reasons that EQ and interpersonal skills are important. It keeps promising that your life will improve with the skill set but it never gives any practical or step-by-step directives or exercises in creating the skill set

A 9-hour commercial

This book is written like a big commercial: "When you learn emotional intelligence you will ..." It never gets into how to actually improve your skills in this area. It drove me crazy to listen to it. The author may understand emotional intelligence, but the book does a terrible job teaching it.

Well written and interesting

For someone who is starting to be more self aware, and finding the inspiration and drive within myself, this book gave perspective which maybe I already subconsciously knew, but hadn't thought about. It was an easy listen, and was informative.

Very good read

Has lots of exercises to guide and help you become aware of what makes you susceptible to emotional outbursts so you can learn to better manage your emotions and thoughts by both raising your EQ and using CBT. Highly beneficial to all of us in some shape or form!

A great toolbox to have

I like the style of providing tools to deal with certain situations and this book shows exactly how both our emotions and thoughts can interfere and disrupt our life and how to stop that. Definitely something I needed to learn- very well narrated as well which kept me engaged.
