The Dungeon is a place of magic and mystery, a vast branching, underground labyrinth that has changed the world and the people who dare to enter its depths. Those who brave its challenges are rewarded with wealth, fame, and powerful classes that set them apart from the rest.

Ken was determined to follow the footsteps of his family and become one of the greatest adventurers the world has ever known. He knows that the only way to do that is to get into one of the esteemed Dungeon colleges, where the most promising young adventurers gather.

Despite doing fantastic on the entrance exam, when his class is revealed, everyone turns their backs on him, all except for one.

The most powerful adventurer, Crimson, invites him to the one college he never thought he’d enter. Haylon, an all girls college.

Ken sets out to put together a party and master the skills he'll need to brave the Dungeon's endless dangers. But he soon discovers that the path ahead is far more perilous than he could have ever imagined.

A boy in a girl's academy, what could possibly go wrong?

Very much a main character plus main team book. Well fleshed out characters and some interesting girls around the place. Add in a teacher that is effectively the most dangerous woman around.... and things get interesting.

I've liked the series so much I purchased and listened to several. Would recommend it.

Great book, great series

This is one of the better LitRPG series out there. Sure some of the later volumes have....issues, but these first few volumes are really well written.

It does follow the same tropes we've come to expect in these stories, and yes it does sadly fall into the male power fantasy trope quite heavily. The sex scenes are frankly annoying and i personally skip them cause they dont really have a place here. With a few exceptions (revolving around Ken's incubus class) you can skip them all. Even the 'necessary' scenes are really necessary.

Over all it's a solid story, with some interesting characters and dynamics going on.

However the narators for this series are terrible, as in painfully terrible. The accents are way over forced, and no really variation. with the exception of Ken they all seem to be either irish or french (and bad irish and french). There is no diversity of accents, which honestly makes telling them apart a frutration.

What worse is a lot of the time it's people trying to sound french or irish and its just cringy. Whats more for Ken, it's weird having sound like an american, given his family seems to be Asian, everything about his family from the names to the way they live is japanese. So having him sound like an american is just weird, especially given the other accents going on.

Honestly this would have been better if they'd dropped all the accents and just narrated normally

Great story, horrible acting

Went inn with low expectations, ended very surprised by the overall quality. Story is so far fun, VA are doing a good job and I'm looking forward to starting the 2nd book.

Annoyingly good and fun.
