About this listen

Ken and company are back from the dungeon shuffle. Now on Earth once again, their levels outstrip the colleges they were attending.

However, that isn't stopping the Headmistress from trying to put them back into the classroom.

As they dive once again, going into Star City and beyond they are coming up against new races and Felin is reunited with the nekorian race, though the meeting doesn't go quite as planned.

Ken has to weave between uprooting the remainder of the SJS Financial web, following the rules of the Orkai and not collapsing under Crimson's renewed training efforts. At least he has his party of five once again, Penny filling in for Fayeth as she returns to the elven world to help her people recover from their own disaster.

I love the narrators, I've listened to loads by Jessica Threet and Christopher Boucher but yeah, the original narration really was better. I know there was problems or whatever, but after hearing the original narration by Lewis Alexander and Rozelyn Rader you kinda have images to go with the voice, Grandpa Nagato's all too often pervy speech done by Lewis Alexander has me in fits of laughter but then the quiet approach for Charlotte by Rozelyn Rader, the attitude of Harley, Des, just Des. Anyway I'm made up this has finally come out but when I read the books I hear the original narration.

I love the narrators but yeah, the original narration really was better.

In previous books and this one ken is set up as an anti-caster with incrediblely strong abilities in this regard however the fight with others and Naga matriarch especially felt like all of this was pushed aside to make the battle seem more difficult for no reason. She was only keeping up because of buffs and magicbut at no point did he use anything to negate this and take advantage.

This seemed to happen a lot where his previous ability is pushed aside or disappeared to make things more difficult which made me frustrated and lose interest.

The author has always stated that casters are weak to melee and so this should go double for Ken but this always seems to be forgotten suddenly all the casters he faces are as strong and fast or often better than him.

eg

his blades used to make people he killed into ghosts (gone?)
Not using his true demon form
Not taking away casters spells to negate buffs (Naga fight)

Another good story but does not stand up to the previous ones
