Summary

It used to be true that "dead men tell no tales". But Zimm Industries has changed that, forever. Dr. Thaddeus Zimm has come up with a way to bring the dead back long enough for them to tell their stories, and the story the authorities most want to hear is how they died. Who did it, why did they do it, and did they happen to mention where they might be going next? The Zimm Industries procedure has changed the face of murder investigation, and field technicians are routinely called upon to bring dead victims of violent crime back and interview them. One field tech, Matt Freeman, has been at it for a while, now. Matt discovers that there's another side to Dr. Zimm's formula, and he finds himself caught in the middle. It's a dangerous, diabolical use of the new technology, and Matt soon learns there is more to life than just staying alive. Matt talks to dead people for a living, but the hard part now is, not becoming one of them!

Quite a good listen

The story is quite a good one, but it's let down a bit by the narration. Would have benefited from a performance by Phil Thron (space team) orl Wil Wheaton (narrator of many of John Scalzi's audiobooks). For all the fact that it suffers a bit from its narration, I stayed with it right through to the end!
