Excellent

What did you like most about Doctor Who: Eleventh Doctor Tales?

The stories where all interesting, thought provoking, energetic, thrilling and in some places a tiny bit scarey

What was one of the most memorable moments of Doctor Who: Eleventh Doctor Tales?

the very beginning of "The art of death" when the voice says "Penelope" I found that a little scary. and "Darkstar Academy" stood out for me as well.

What three words best describe the narrators’s voice?

Some brilliant, some not so good

Any additional comments?

I wished that the chapter's would show the story title so I could choose which story I wanted to listen too rather than having to guess, the same can be said for a lot of collections. It is nice for the first time to listen to it all the way through but after I like to be able to choose what I want to listen to, which is difficult when you don't know where anything is.

Also some of the readers where trying to accents and put on the characters voice unsuccessfully, I think I would rather they just read in their normal voice than trying to do a character of accents unsuccessfully.

Generally loved it

15 stories, 12 of which I loved. 1 I couldn't listen to. In the main the narration is brilliant, especially when Matt Smith or Arthur Darville as both are simply and utterly wonderful to listen to and they read quite a few between them!! Other narrators are good and enjoyable too so well worth the credit to get this.

With 15 stories I won't even begin to provide any overview of storylinras but suffice to say they are mainly excellent. The reason I dropped a star is my issue with choices of female narrators. I've nothing against female narrators doing Dr who, I mean Catherine Tate was so good in the 10th tales that I have relistened to her stories 2-3 times. But in this book there was one narrator in particular who sounded like she was reading a chic lit story - as I was listening I looked the story up and found that it was written by a chic lit novelist, I mean, just why???? after 20 minutes I simply switched to the next story because I couldn't bear to hear her do male voices anymore.
Thankfully it moved straight into a great story read by Arthur Darville and we were back on track.
Well worth getting for the majority of good stuff and I'll be listening to those stories again.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would

Matt Smith is fabulous, really great narration. Most narrators struggled with Amy's accent. Nice collection of stories for Who fans and those new to the franchise.

Doctor Who: Eleventh Doctor Tales Review

this is the best audio book I have loved & I want to see more audio books on the ninth doctor or the eight doctor
I loved it & I would recommend it for people who were big fans of Matt Smith back when he was the doctor.

A great book

It was almost perfect!!!! I liked how the story's were made to be like the TV show, although they could have had some story's with Clara in, not JUST Amy and Rory. However that set a side there is only one other thing I personally could have done without and that was how gruesome some parts. The part were they eat the food and then turn into savage hounds (in hounds of Artemis) is terrifying!!! However from a more less personal point of view, the actors performance was good, the quality was good and really it was just basically really good the whole way through!!! I would love to see some of the audio episodes made into actual episodes (but not the art of death or the hounds of Artemis, they were to scary!!!) and I would totally recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it 😃

poor

A waste of time, only one story read by Matt Smith the rest read by people I have never heard of. I found the cover misleading it was not as good as the illustration let's you believe.

This is true to the Dr. I enjoyed this immensely.

This was great voice over work with all who were involved. Hours of entertaining stories true to Matt Smith's Doctor.

Multiple Stories Are Awesome

I love the collections of stories that are available for Doctor Who. I especially enjoy listening to Doctor Who actors narrating the stories. Arthur Darvill is my favorite. He does an amazing Matt Smith and Amy Pond narrative! Great stories. I am always sad when the audio ends!

Loved it

Loved the stories. My only slight issue was that I wasn't a huge fan of the one American narrator. I have heard much worse, though. And that was only one story of many and overall the stories were well narrated and very engaging.

It was an amazing adventure.

The story was solid and just so true to Doctor Who at it core. The sound effects added beautifully to the story, the voice talents of Arthur darvill again went above my expectations.

Doctor Who!

If you could sum up Doctor Who: Eleventh Doctor Tales in three words, what would they be?

Fun, crazy adventures...that would be my three words.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Doctor Who: Eleventh Doctor Tales?

Basically the ones narrated by Arthur Darvill were excellent! I was pleasantly surprised by his interpretation of the Doctor...he had the 11th doctor perfectly.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Obviously the best characters where the Doctor when performed by Matt Smith or Arthur Darvill....the other narrators were fine but I'm not a big fan of female narrators trying to be The Doctor. However they were all excellent at their craft and I did enjoy their versions for what they were but let's face it you can't beat Matt Smith playing his own Doctor now can you. Also his other voices in the stories he and Darvill narrated were great as well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had been listening on a long trip I would have done it all in one sitting yes, but didn't have an 11 hour period where I could listen at once, but it would be like binge watching the shows.

Any additional comments?

Just one more thing....the stories were great just wish more in the collection were done by Smith or Darvill.

Great collection of stories!

I don't allow alot of screen time for my littles and my son LOVES Doctor Who. This is a great way for him to experience these stories with out watching TV. The whole family loves listening to this at home, in the car. It's great!
