During the war with Thorea, Jason and Miranda are jumping through a wormhole when a power surge causes the wormhole to jump. The wake up to find themselves in another star system. Believing the system to be another Helike, they join one of the civilizations while they wait to be rescued. But like all worlds, there is greed and conflict. Jason and Miranda have to negotiate that while keeping their origins secret.
