About this listen

Interstellar colony ship Deliverance. Somewhere in deep space.

The Deliverance is tragically off course, missing its rendezvous with the escaping fleet and leaving the survival of the colony in serious jeopardy.

Pulled out of hibernation years too late, Caleb is thrown into the middle of the crisis and forced back into the fight. With the ship low on power and time running out, it's up to him to find some way, any way, to overcome an impossible situation and get the colony to safety.

Otherwise, the only thing he'll be protecting is a tomb.

Really enjoyed the 1st book and wanted more details into the Reachers.

Stories were good, but small details are just annoying me and, in my view, wrong.

A colony with 40,000 people could never keep a population to 40,000, just stupid.
If the only way to have a child was after an elderly person death everyone would have kids in their 50s or 60s, people live a long time unless they were going to be euthanized at retirement.

The other gripe is just the Marines timeline, so they cleaned out the Tryff on the ship and then cleaned up. then go into Cryo, for a ship the size of a town to say this took 2 weeks is a joke, would of took mouths to clean up then clear ship for what 12 people, that includes the Reachers and I can't see them helping.
So just 6 and Cailb is such a good leader he would of spent a year making sure everything was safe, remember in his mind they only had a 20 year trip not 100 so he had the time.

SOILERS

So then this book, same again time details don't work.
But mainly annoyed at how he could let Ryle take charge.
she's an admitted kidnapper, tourcherer, murderer and was willing to carry on with the civilians.
plus, he has experimented on 2 of his soldiers and got another 1 killed.
That was just what he knew within the 1st 5 hours of waking up.

So then he puts this person I charge of his Marines...... ridiculous. keeping her around, yeah, but not in charge.

Few other thing in book 3, 1 were they talk about a battle between 10,000 soldiers vs. 40,000 tryff.
In my mind, the soldiers would have no trouble dispatching a 4 to 1 odds. The 6 soldiers alone killed 1000s. he should have just said the 10,000 were against 100,000. It's little I know, but it helps keep the fantasy.

Mite be just my mind, number have always been easier to understand.

Anyway, that's my little moan and point of view.
But other than that, it's really good. I would love to see some rendering of the tryff.

Enjoyable. Will continue,

was concerned that would begin to become repetitive but storyline continued to develop and generate interest. Good 2nd book.

managed to develop and keep interest for 2nd book

Good follow up on the first book. I still feel that the book takes a bit to much time with itself, but that might just be compared to what I'm used to.

The author sure knows how to make you hate certain characters, in a good way.

Good continuation, still a bit slow

Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse ... If you're looking for a book where the action just keeps coming - even when you try to escape it in stasis - then this is certainly the book for you. There is no time to catch your breath.

I ended up listening to this book in a day. My only question (and I am sure there must be an answer coming up further down the line) is, why would you throw an AI out of an airlock? As AI's don't need air to breathe its a bit pointless!

Exhausting

This author certainly knows how to make you wonder what will happen next, and none of the surprises are good.
Certainly worth a read

wow the twists and turns
