Love this book and the author’s take on vampires. Possibly one of the most enjoyable undead characters and interesting twist in the isekai genre Ive come across. Really want a book 2.

Picked this up as I loved his other series. Quality didn’t even slightly dip, characters, worldbuilding, plot, systems and humour were all as good if not slightly better. Very clearly one of the top reads and releases of the year for me.

Mr Kerei if you read this know that for as long as you release books I’ll be buying them. You’re in the halls of my “Author of Automatic Purchases”

It’s was funny, narrator is great as mr baldtree usually is, story was good.

My complaints: too short and the second book isn’t out yet.

Bad:
The book felt more like 3 loosely connected flash backs rather than the first book in a new series.

Good:
This is my new example of OP done right. Author knows exacly what this type of story is and capitalises on it instead over complicating things.
MC is funny and feels belevebel with any inconsistencies in priority or behaviour esaly being explained away with him being an unholy creature of darkness.
Support carecters are funny if a bit 2d but feels like thers potenchal for future growth. Expecially with his son.

General:
Like his Oh grate I was reincarnated as a farmer series Benjamin Kerei delivers a great new book promising adventure and shenanigans whist poking fun at several tropes and stereotypes of the GameLit ganera.
