Summary

When Kian confesses his true nature, Syssi is not as much shocked by the revelation as she is wounded by what she perceives as his callous plans for her. If she doesn't turn, he'd be forced to erase her memories and let her go. His family's safety demands secrecy - no one in the mortal world is allowed to know that immortals exist. Resigned to the cruel reality, Syssi is determined to enjoy what little time she has with Kian, one day at a time.

Kian and Syssi's story culminates in Dark Stranger Immortal, and the characters embark on a new adventure in book four: Dark Enemy Taken.

Three books with Syssi and Kian getting together

I liked the stories of Kian and Syssi but they are very long and even after 3 books there is still more to tell. i'm debating whether to continue on to Amanda and Dalhu's story.... but not sure i want to go through 3 books to get there?

Fated Doomer

Part 3 of this series was exciting as well as amazing. As Keenan and Cici loves grows stronger their path are cemented together. The Doomer plans for Amanda falls into place. Andrew is brought into the immortal secrets in an attempt to save Amanda. Charles Lawrence does a fantastic job of narrating this series. looking forward to more of this series.⚘⚘⚘

Good plot and characters

This is one of the first series I've listened to that does not clean up each "story" in one book.. BRILLIANT for the author to do that because you have to keep getting the next book!! I actually like it this way because I want to go from book to book. A lot of authors spend about a quarter of each new book in the series spelling out everything that happened before the current book your reading which is annoying if you JUST read it. This author set up so you really need to start at the beginning.. The plot is fairly consistent with most paranormal romances, Big Hot guy, beautiful woman, some steamy scenes, a obstacle they must overcome so they can be together. But that's exactly why I read them!

Hooked!

Any additional comments?

In the last two months, I have read/listened to the entire series and have pre-ordered the next book! I haven’t picked up another series during this time. Normally I listen to one series and read another. I could not put these books down.

I have never read any series like this one. I absolutely love that throughout the books you still hear what is going on with the previous characters. Instead of each book having its own story, it is more like one long story where new people get introduced as events happen. For me, this is the right balance of paranormal content. Nothing to crazy but just outside the realm of possibility.

Oh, I almost forgot the 2nd Best thing about this series is there is a new book every few months. :) It is not like other series where you have to wait a year or more for the next. I personally have to re-read the old book before the new release (I go through WAY too many books to remember all the details of a story I read a year ago). With only a few months between, I still remember all the details and keep track of the next release date.

I.T Lucas - please continue to write these stories for as long as possible. I am in love with all the characters and don’t want to let them go.

Story idea good heroine annoying

The general idea and world building was interesting sisi or however it's spelled is supposedly very intelligent and has pre cognition powers. However she is truly annoying. She vacillates between being cloying sec kitten and irrationally doubting herself and kian. First she doubts he could like someone as plain Jane as her when all we hear is how beautiful she is. Then she doubts he is being honest and constantly takes the things he says the wrong way. Seriously after the umpteenth time of hearing her whine about it I wanted to throw my phone against the wall. Miraculously she doesn't even bat an eyelash when she finds out the truth except to feel upset over the fact kian might have to thrall her to forget him if the change doesn't happen. The fact he is a 2000 yr old immortal barely phases her.

I also thought this story could easily have been condensed into one possibly two books if we eliminated all the whining from sisi. It's irritating when writers drag out stories just to make you buy another book.

I got this series under my kindle unlimited or it would not have been worth purchasing three books.

The narration was good enough. There were a couple mispronunciations but most of my grievance of his performance was due to content not his vicaluzations
