About this listen

Hunted, confused, pissed off…this is one quarry you don’t want to back into a corner.

Steve and Ingrid have escaped the clutches of Athena, but Steve is still learning, both about his place in the world, and his capabilities...not to mention those of the creatures that surround him.

Ingrid, too, must find her way in the new reality she finds her world has become, and the pair need a plan.

Fortunately, Ingrid’s a lot brighter than Steve, and she’s had plenty of time to plan, to observe, and to build up a festering hatred of her "betters".

Steve’s going recruiting—and harvesting. Greece is in for a hell of a surprise, and for the criminal element out there? It’ll be a fatal one…

Book two continues the story in the world of immortality with an unusual twist towards environmentalism and repairing the planet. Great story and narration by them all.

Story is great, and readers fit perfectly for the characters. Definitely worth a read/listen.

Chuuni. Very very chuuni. Not that it’s a bad thing but be prepared!

Jez tropes that continue in this series:

MC is from Yorkshire, it’s normally Tyneside for his MCs but they never say why aye man and they never get a narrator with a geordie accent… can’t imagine why!

MC is a bad boy who gets super OP really fast while still facing even more OP baddies who he inevitably overcomes.

MC almost immediately meets a beautiful woman and they fall madly in love and there are some graphic descriptions of lewd acts (hur hur) but it’s not grossly covered like the audio porn you find in some books.

Hijinks, daring do and jokes abound.

Narration is good.

You get the idea. I think Jez (I will call him Jez as none of his narrators ever use the same pronunciation for his surname) has a pretty fun formula that he is refining and becoming very good at. If you have enjoyed the underverse and the rise of mankind books you’ll like this.

10/10 would suck the nannites out of more lycanthropes. That sounds wrong but if you listen you’ll know what I mean.

Good stuff

I'll agree with a previous review and note that the accents from the performers were not that great at times. Being a swede myself, I am fairly confident that is not what a Danish/English accent sounds like. But the generally great story and otherwise great performance makes up for this. Another great bookseries from the Author!

Kept me entertained the whole way through
