About this listen

Forgotten races, ancient secrets, and the final truths of the great wars…

After being ripped from everything he knew, Steve drifts amongst the shattered remains of dead worlds and civilizations. The vast grave of the ages threatens to consume him as he faces an impossible choice—evolve beyond his limits, or be lost amongst the ruins, like all the other failures.

The node is under attack. Meanwhile, the enemy is bearing down on all sides, ready to tear their hard-won prize free. If Steve is going to eke out a chance at survival, he'll have to fight his way home. Not only that, when he gets there, he's going to have to deal with the Ændari's greatest secret.

It's time to remind the rest of the universe that humanity isn't prey… we're the predator.

In a gritty world where injustice reigns supreme, one dark hero rises to bring the corrupt to their knees. Armed with cutting-edge nanotech, a unique leveling system, and gruesome upgrades, he delves into humanity's darkest secrets on a relentless quest for vengeance. This LitRPG progression fantasy series combines pulse-pounding action, intricate world-building, and a protagonist who will stop at nothing to tear down the corrupt system. Get ready for an unforgettable journey filled with twists, turns, and non-stop thrills as the fate of this world hangs in the balance.

Narrated in duet style.

Really enjoyed what I assume is the last chapter of this, maybe? Absolutely excellent story, tech and narration, amongst my favourite, the series is well within the top 10, or even top 5 of all time (out of at least 1000 books, and that's just audible!) So yep, good!

An exceptional conclusion

Such a good series of books, great departure from reality! Seems like a mad daydream let loose and went feral lol! Really enjoyed them all.

Mental story and so entertaining!

So much of this since book 4 or 5 i think felt too rushed. Forget looking for Belles sisters, ignore the base building and other factions. What about the one the Atlantians were watching? Delegated the work? they came to space soon after?

We get the nice wrap up ending but i was dissapointed in how so many loose ends were left unexpored and the last 2 books basically felt like the author just wanted to end it.

Only met one devourer? I keep going back to thinking that and can only guess that it would get too messy if they met someone with the same possible abilities as steve. Still, completely wasted opportunity.

Up till book 4 i think (cant remember when they went to space) i could see this series being in my top 10 but then the pacing got grav boosted to another dimension.

I also thought it might at some point loop back to referencing the very first dialogue from book 1 with the 2 guys and the time magic? Did i miss something 🤔 or was that not a thing and only alluded to their origins being not what they thought?

Overall, im glad it was wrapped up over being left unfinished. Im just dissapointed that so many loose threads were left behind for a story that had so much potential and set so much up in such a good way.

Will i listen to more of Jez's stuff? yeah eventually. It was still a decent ride.

Felt very rushed
